For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $136,000 - $204,000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.

The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Microgrid - Senior Project Manager

About the Role:

Schneider Electric's NAM Microgrid Hub is expanding and seeking a dynamic and experienced Microgrid Project Manager and Customer Leader. This role is pivotal in developing an execution program, enhancing customer satisfaction, and implementing go-to-market strategies for microgrid projects. This role will lead execution of microgrid controls projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring that projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and most importantly with high customer satisfaction. This position includes project planning, resource allocation, estimating, execution, implementation, and support. The individual will work closely with customers, contractors, and internal resources to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of solutions deployed in support of microgrid project goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact with customers, ensuring their vision remains central to the project design and execution.
  • Project Scheduling: Develop and establish internal project schedules based on the project scope, primarily coordinating the microgrid controls team but projects may include coordinating with multiple Schneider Electric Business Units (BUs) to meet customer timelines.
  • Project Scope Management: Determine and manage project goals, priorities, deliverables, and resources to deliver the required microgrid scope per commercial team proposal and/or customer contract.
  • Project Budget Management: Develop, monitor, and manage project financials to ensure projects are delivered within allocated budget per commercial team proposal and/or customer contract.
  • Change Order Management: Review and manage change order requests with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Status Reporting: Monitoring project timelines, costs, and quality against established plans. Provide monthly updates to NAM Microgrid Hub leadership on project status and customer relationships.
  • Product Delivery Coordination: Collaborate with manufacturing plants to address questions and ensure timely product delivery.
  • Best Practices Learning and Process Improvement: Adopt Schneider Electric Project Management best practices and evaluate existing projects to identify areas for process improvement and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Evaluating Project Performance: Organize post-project reviews to identify best practices, sales proposal successes and misses, and conduct margin reviews.

Qualifications:
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, combined with 5+ years of relevant project management work experience
  • Location is remote, however there may be a need to visit customers throughout the US. Travel expectation should be less than 25%
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Knowledge of contract documents and ability to clearly understand specifications
  • Ability to manage project financials, ensuring accurate revenue recognition forecasting and delivery in a profitable manner
  • Ability to manage large teams and their activities, including sub-contractors
  • Ability to negotiate and manage contractual arrangements
  • Ability to work and contribute as an effective team player in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
  • Developed interpersonal skills with an ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers of various technical abilities, including experience working with contractors, consultants, and sales staff as required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills


Desirable
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification
  • Knowledge and experience in Power Monitoring Systems, control/automation industry (metering, transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, PLCs, drives), energy management, power distribution, critical power applications
