Master Data Management System Administration - Senior Professional

Role Summary

The Data Analyst provides expert-level support to business units in managing master data objects. This includes offering guidance, training, and hands-on assistance to ensure data integrity, consistency, and compliance with organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Expert Guidance & Training
    • Deliver training sessions and documentation to business users on master data standards and processes.
    • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for master data objects across various domains (e.g., customer, vendor, material, finance).
    • Provide ongoing support and consultation to ensure correct usage and maintenance of master data.
  • Master Data Maintenance
    • Execute master data creation, updates, and deletions in line with defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
    • Ensure high levels of accuracy and completeness in all master data transactions.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate and verify data inputs.
  • Quality Assurance & Compliance
    • Monitor data quality and perform regular audits to identify inconsistencies or errors.
    • Implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Ensure compliance with internal data governance policies and external regulatory requirements.
  • Reporting & Analysis
    • Generate reports on master data performance, SLA adherence, and data quality metrics.
    • Analyse trends and provide insights to improve data management practices.

Skills & Competencies
  • Strong understanding of master data domains and governance principles.
  • Proficiency in data management tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Excellent communication and training skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and process efficiency.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Performance Metrics
  • SLA compliance rate for master data tasks.
  • Accuracy and completeness of master data entries.
  • Number of training sessions conducted and user satisfaction scores.
  • Frequency and resolution rate of data quality issues.

Education Qualification: B.Tech /B.E/MCA/BCA/M.Sc-IT/CS

Experience: 4- 8 years
