Manufacturing Training Engineer

What will you do?



The Manufacturing Training Engineer is responsible for providing engineering support and training to all manufacturing and production staff. This position will assist in the development of training programs for production certification and process engineering changes. Position will emphasize operating in a safe manner and producing a high-quality product.

  • Administer the training, development and audit processes of manufacturing and production certification. This includes overseeing training, evaluation, and assistance to operators in understanding the tools and equipment, Work Instructions, and JDE Documentation required
  • Develop and create WIS/SOP for all departments
  • Maintain training database and assist in preparing easy-to-understand training material. This includes documenting and maintaining training records in an ISO approved environment
  • Develop training schedules matching operators, instructors, and production needs
  • Read schematics, assembly drawings, data sheets, and process sheets to perform testing, build fixtures, and trouble-shoot equipment
  • Develop and coordinate problem prevention and resolution, process improvement, cost reductions, and quality improvement efforts
  • Assist the Manufacturing Engineers with revisions and improvements to manufacturing methods and procedures, including writing change orders and deviations
  • Understand safe practices in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to assess individual's progress/ability
  • Must work well with others and have a passion for other to be successful
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor

What qualifications will make you successful?
  • BSME/BSEE or equivalent experience in a training role or function
  • Must possess the ability to work in a fast paced, teamwork environment
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization
  • Must possess strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Must possess the ability to train individuals and lead training classes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications required
  • Hands on experience with lean manufacturing is a definite plus
  • The ideal candidate will be a high-energy, hands-on individual that is able to multi-task and work with little to minimal supervision
