The manufacturing engineering intern will primarily work on process improvements and capacity expansion projects to drive productivity. They work closely with Methods engineer for the product line to assist on improvement projects and drive towards incremental process change.
What will you do?
- Review existing processes to improve productivity and meet Safety, Quality and Ergonomics requirement.
- Time study
- Assist in time collection and analysis for production line and manufacturing steps.
- Assist in time collection and analysis for material preparation and providing activities.
- Work instructions
- Assist in preparation of work instructions.
- Continuous Improvement

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
- Currently enrolled or a recent graduate in Industrial engineering or Mechanical engineering or Manufacturing operations related coursework
- Familiar in Lean Manufacturing Tools (5S, Value Stream Mapping, Visual management, etc.) concepts/methodology
- Working knowledge of Autocad
- Microsoft Office Excel skills
- Data-driven mindset with experience in dashboard creation.
- High knowledge in digital tools
- You are a team player who has a great attitude and strong work ethic.
- Motivated self-starter and ability to multitask are required for this position.
