Key Account Manager, Transportation

Job Summary:

As a Key Account Manager - Transportation, you will be responsible for managing and growing strategic customer relationships within the transportation and logistics sector. You will act as the main point of contact for key clients, ensuring service excellence, identifying growth opportunities, and driving customer satisfaction and retention.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key transportation clients.
  • Understand client needs and provide tailored logistics solutions.
  • Monitor service performance and ensure KPIs are met or exceeded.
  • Collaborate with operations, customer service, and finance teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities to grow account revenue.
  • Lead regular business reviews with clients to assess performance and explore improvements.
  • Resolve customer issues promptly and effectively.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform account strategy.
  • Prepare and present proposals, pricing, and contract negotiations.
  • Maintain accurate records of account activities, forecasts, and pipeline in CRM systems.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in key account management, preferably in transportation or logistics.
  • Strong understanding of freight forwarding, trucking, or supply chain operations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and deliver results.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Fluent in [Insert Language(s)] - both written and spoken.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
