This role is responsible for supporting and driving sales engagement in software-centric automation, with a primary focus on industrial software within Europe. The person in this role will focus on both direct and indirect business development activities to:

  • Enable and support our sales teams and alliance partners in positioning our company's software portfolio as the best solution for meeting customer requirements through our unique value propositions
  • Work directly with sales teams to identify and close large deals
  • Be a liaison between our sales teams and our strategic software partners (AVEVA and AVEVA Channel) to ensure collaboration and synergy


Your IMPACT:
  • Develop the SCADA business with SI partners and the advanced software business (e.g., Data Management/PI business) by targeting the right accounts in the region
  • Be responsible for the growth of our software portfolio through our sales teams and alliance partners to meet targets and KPIs in the respective regions
  • Work closely with sales teams to develop and deploy growth programs, initiatives, and winning strategies
  • Stay up to date with all product offerings and solutions to be recognized as a subject matter expert, especially in AVEVA software
  • Ensure that all sales teams and partners are fully trained and equipped with the necessary tools to successfully sell our software
  • Launch new products and offerings into the market in close collaboration with offer category managers
  • Conduct market analysis to identify gaps and white space opportunities, and position our company and offerings for success
  • Be responsible for identifying and implementing strategic growth and transformation initiatives
  • Collaborate closely with global marketing to position our Industrial Software products and solutions as market leaders
  • Drive the Digital Customer Experience in collaboration with internal teams
  • Deploy sales initiatives across all go-to-market channels, including End Users, OEMs, Alliance IADs, and System Integrators
  • A deep understanding of segments such as WWW, MMM, CPG, and O&G is a plus
  • Provide monthly and quarterly reports on all sales activities in the region

Job Requirements:
  • A degree in engineering or software; an MBA would be an asset
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in sales and marketing of industrial automation and software portfolios
  • Key expertise in the AVEVA portfolio or competitor offerings
  • Must be able to deploy consultative selling techniques
  • Experience of working with strategic partners and distributor channels
  • Strategic thinker with commercial leadership skills
  • Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring skills
  • Ability to communicate at a senior level in a global environment
  • Fluent English is essential, and knowledge of German or another European language would be an advantage
