The Senior Manager, Jurisdiction & Classification & Special Project Coordinator, EMEA position will lead the successful delivery of global classification projects as well as related initiatives based on regulatory requirements and changes. This will include assisting in classifying commodities, software, technology, and services across the Schneider organization through project and process organization. You will collaborate closely with team members to manage scope, drive execution, adhere to timelines for deliverables, and advise on risk & project issues. This position will have an eye toward driving automated solutions to eliminate manual processes inherent to the current state of play. This position will report directly to the Director, Global Jurisdiction & Classification.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in EMEA and global special J&C projects related to regional and global regulatory changes.
- Execute a strategy with the global classification team to implement a classification process early in the R&D phase of new product development.
- Assist global J&C team on special projects including DeMinimis, FDPR, technology controls/transfers.
- Manage projects using a defined approach of process standardization, documentation, automation, trusted data, change management and communication to drive towards Trust Scale.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Procurement, Digital, Sales, Compliance, Learning Teams, etc., to achieve classification and project objectives.
- Work closely with Export Control Center of Excellence members, and other departments as needed, to understand requirements.
- Share impact of EU J&C regulatory changes in a timely manner with global export CoE.
- Identify risks and solutions to the Director, Global Jurisdiction & Classification.
- Report regional project status to the Director, Global Jurisdiction & Classification, and key stakeholders on regular basis.
- Propose solutions for challenge areas of projects, discuss with key stakeholders and produce course correction actions.
- Help to drive internal/external automation where possible.
- Coordinate across regions and departments to ensure duplication of efforts does not occur.
- Work with Merger& Acquisitions team to review and integrate classifications from acquired companies.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor Degree
- Strong team collaboration background.
- Experience with SAP GTS helpful.
- Software and encryption classification skills required.
- Expert knowledge in EU export and import classification. (ECN, HS)
- Other country export and import classification skills helpful.
- 5-7 years of experience in export and import classification.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and people skills.
- Travel when necessary.
Proficient in:
Microsoft office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
