Your Role
Within Schneider Electric's Heavy Industries segment, you will play a key role in driving the adoption and deployment of EcoStruxure Automation Expert (EAE) across industrial customers. As a Technical Pre-Sales Specialist, you will support sales teams, partners, and customers in designing and implementing innovative automation solutions that contribute to the digitalization and decarbonization of industrial operations.
You will be involved throughout the entire project lifecycle, from technical discovery and solution definition to architecture validation and successful implementation.
Your Responsibilities
Pre-Sales Support & Sales Enablement
- Provide high-level technical expertise to support sales teams in developing business opportunities around EAE.
- Support customers, OEMs, and system integrators in defining and implementing automation solutions.
- Deliver technical workshops, demonstrations, and customer presentations.
- Conduct technical assessments, design audits, and architecture reviews for strategic projects.

- Design automation and control system architectures based on EcoStruxure Automation Expert.
- Analyze customer requirements and technical constraints to accelerate EAE adoption.
- Lead proof-of-concept (PoC), pilot deployments, and technical validation activities.
- Support customers in their digital transformation and industrial automation initiatives.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, design guides, and best practices.
- Collaborate with R&D teams, Centers of Competence, and Business Units to optimize solution architectures and scalability.
- Contribute to the technical roadmap and continuous improvement of EAE-based solutions.
- Support the training and enablement of internal teams, partners, and customers.
- Create technical content, including white papers, case studies, webinars, and demonstrations.
- Represent Schneider Electric at industry events, conferences, and automation forums.
- Promote the benefits of open and software-defined automation technologies within industrial and academic communities.
Your Profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Industrial Automation, Computer Science, Software Development, or a related field.
- Experience in industrial automation solution development, ideally within Heavy Industries.
- Experience in embedded software engineering and/or industrial IT environments would be a strong advantage.
- Strong expertise in industrial automation architectures, PLC programming, SCADA/DCS systems, and industrial networks.
- Solid understanding of IIoT and IT/OT convergence.
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux environments, virtualization, Docker, Kubernetes, and event-driven architectures.
- Hands-on experience with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, OPC UA, MQTT, PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, and TCP/IP.
- Software development skills in technologies such as C/C++, C#, Python, and JavaScript.
- Ability to design and implement complex industrial automation architectures and solutions.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for various audiences.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Self-driven, collaborative, and results-oriented mindset with strong commercial awareness.
- Fluent English.

For this France based position, the expected pay range is EUR 63.200 - EUR 94.800 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives (annual bonus) at target. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located in France. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Individual's compensation is positioned within the range based on several factors such as knowledge, job-related skills, experience, potential and relevant education or training.
