Flow Controller

In Schneider Electric, we are looking for a Flow Controller for our Querétaro Plant.

The Flow Controller is responsible for managing the procurement and planning of materials and components required for manufacturing highly customized, engineer-to-order (ETO) products. This role involves close coordination with engineering, production, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials aligned with unique customer specifications. The position requires proficiency in SAP and a strong understanding of ETO production models.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning & Scheduling

  • Develop and maintain production schedules based on sales orders and engineering designs.
  • Convert master production schedules into detailed material requirements using SAP MRP.
  • Coordinate with engineering to ensure BOMs and routings are accurate and up-to-date for each ETO order.
Procurement
  • Create and manage purchase requisitions and purchase orders in SAP.
  • Source and procure raw materials, components, and services required for custom builds.
  • Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and contracts with suppliers.

  • Collaborate with engineering to define ETO BOMs and shop floor routings tailored to individual customer orders
  • Manage procurement activities triggered by sales orders, ensuring alignment with project timelines.
  • Track and report on cost allocations, material availability, and supplier performance for ETO projects.
SAP System Management
  • Maintain accurate data in SAP including material master records, vendor information, and inventory levels.
  • Use SAP tools to monitor delivery performance, expedite orders, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Support configuration of 150% BOMs and routings for variant management in CTO+ scenarios
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Interface with production, engineering, quality, and finance teams to ensure smooth execution of ETO projects.
  • Participate in cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications:
Education & Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • APICS CPIM, CSCP, or similar certifications preferred
Experience
  • 3-5 years in a planning or buying role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with SAP ERP, especially in MRP and procurement modules.
  • Familiarity with ETO or project-based manufacturing processes.
Skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in SAP, Excel, and inventory control systems.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Kanban, and material requirements planning.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
