What will you do?

- Include all activities where Firmware (also called Embedded Software) expertise is needed.

- It covers all real-time applications and it is used in many situations; requirements, specifications, architecture, design, test, anticipation...

- Delivers elements of given design for other functions by respect of process and best practices (T3).

- or Designs Offers from Technical Specifications to meet Customer Values expectations and Quality goals with respect to Supply Chains constraints (T4 & T5).

- or Develops a strong expertise in Firmware, in order to reinforce our technical leadership.

- Is a thought leader with good understanding of the customer processes, impacting business and customer (T6 & above).

What are the responsibilities ?

Fufills technical missions, with autonomy to propose/develop solutions in a technical domain. Work is given through general guidelines.

- Designs and develops Firmware applications.

- Performs coding, debugging, testing and troubleshooting throughout the application development process.

- Develops in context of hardware constraints and system complexity.

- Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.

- Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.

- Typically requires 2 to 5 years of related experience.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
  • Skills/Requirements:
    • 5/6+Years of Experience and expertise in the design of embedded software (minimum of 5 years of experience)
    • Experience and expertise in managing project requirements, including embedded software and electronic aspects.
    • This position requires good knowledge of:
      • Low level protocols: Modbus, UART, SPI, I2C, CAN,
      • Software architectures embedded on microcontroller and processor (ARM CORTEX M3, CORTEX M4, A8 and others), in C, C++
      • Concepts on RTOS (μOSIII, QUADROS or others: LINUX, VXWORKS)
      • Knowledge of cybersecurity and the ISO 27000 suite is an asset.
      • Knowledge of the constraints of implementing a real-time bus (ETHERCAT, SERCOS III) is an asset.


    • Experience in the R&D department is essential
    • Lean/Agile mindset is essential
    • Consolidated knowledge in embedded software engineering
    • Ability to work in multicultural and multinational teams
    • Ability to think, analytical thinking, flexibility and ability to act independently and under your own responsibility, resilience
    • Experience in variable speed drives is a plus
    • Experience in systems engineering is a plus
    • Willingness to travel
    • Previous experience with a development cycle is desirable
