The Opportunity


Our Benalla manufacturing site is located in regional Victoria, 2.5 hours north of Melbourne's CBD. This plant plays a crucial role in our operations, providing energy and automation digital solutions for efficiency and sustainability, primarily Transformers, Kiosks and Switchgear. The Benalla plant is a testament to our commitment to local manufacturing and innovation, contributing significantly to the regional economy and offering numerous job opportunities.

We are currently seeking an experienced Finance Business Controller to join our team in Benalla, Victoria. This permanent position will see you playing a key hands-on role across day-to-day activities including; project controlling, product costing, inventory, internal controls, financial analysis and other reporting requirements. Key Responsibilities
  • Own financial accounting processes including statutory books, monthly close, revenue management and adherence to set internal processes
  • Drive management accounting insights across P&L, product lines and related cost structures
  • Responsibilities across project controlling ensuring cost alignment and a focus on overrun
  • Ensure internal controls, with a focus on varied assets and risk mitigation
  • Collaborate with key functions; Manufacturing, Sales, Finance and Leadership - locally and globally
  • Influence operational and strategic business decisions, providing specialist support to our Plant Director
  • Oversee one direct report and foster a commercial culture that is focused on Impact


About You
  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Finance
  • Previous experience in a similar role coupled with a proven business partnering approach
  • Strong IT and data analytics skills, skilled in regular reporting and other internal processes
  • Well-developed stakeholder engagement, influencing skills and a collaborative style
  • Those with previous team leadership experience will be viewed favourably, as will those with either CA or CPA status
