Export Control Operations Specialist (f/m/d)

Location: Seligenstadt or Düsseldorf (Germany), Barcelona (Spain), or Warsaw (Poland)
We're looking for an experienced Export Control professional to join our team. In this role, y ou will determine the Export Control classification of products by interpreting technical data to ensure adherence to all regulations and company policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in this field and the ability to collaborate effectively with global teams.
Your IMPACT:
- Determine ECCNs: Conduct in-depth analysis of products, software, and technology to accurately determine their correct Export Control Classification Number (ECCN) under the US Commerce Control List (CCL) and the EU Dual-Use Regulation, among others.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records and rationales for all classification decisions and supporting documentation.
- Sanctioned Party Screening: Perform sanctioned party screening to ensure compliance with government denied party lists worldwide.
- License Determination: Identify export license requirements based on the ECN, destination, end-user, and end-use.
- Internal Support: Provide expert guidance and support to internal teams (e.g., engineering, sales, logistics) on export control matters.
- Process Improvement: Help develop and implement company-wide export control procedures and training programs.
- Regulatory Monitoring: Stay up-to-date with changes in global export control regulations, including the US Export Administration Regulations (EAR), EU, Asia, and other relevant jurisdictions.

Your Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in a business-related field (e.g., International Trade, Supply Chain Management) or Engineering.
- Solid experience, ideally in export/import operations and risk management and compliance requirements.
- Experience with SAP GTS, OneSource, managing large Excel databases, or e2open screening platforms is a plus.
- Fluent in English communication skills.
- Familiarity with supply chains and electronic products, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, team spirit, and ability to work in an international, multicultural environment.
