Energy Analyst

W e seek a Chile Energy Expert to work with our Energy Markets Advisory team. Some duties of this role include creation and management of assigned regional market opinions and strategy, working and negotiating with energy suppliers on behalf of clients, overview and advisory of sourcing strategies and migration processes, and collaborating with regional leadership to identify and solve problems or add efficiencies.
Position responsibilities:
- Carry out energy operation/advisory activities and responsibilities for Chile clients
- Support in energy operation/advisory activities for other LATAM Energy Markets (Argentina, Colombia, Perú, Chile, Panamá, Ecuador, Guatemala & Mexico)
- Carry out special requests or special project responsibilities related to LATAM Energy Markets as assigned
- Understand and monitor ever-changing energy industry concepts in Chile
- Acquire and maintain expertise in Chile natural gas and/or electric power markets.
- Investigate, identify, and provide impact assessments of pertinent market information.
- Create and maintain regional pricing models.
- Strategically manage energy supply for assigned portfolio of clients.
- Independently conduct in-depth macro-level market research.
- Effectively create/communicate regional market opinions and knowledge to internal/external clients.
- Represent Sourcing team in Sales-related functions.
- Coordinate/conduct RFPs for assigned market areas, conduct analysis of bids received, generate recommendations, and facilitate flawless execution.
- Participate in negotiations for supply terms and prices with supplier base.
- Maintain supplier relationships at a sales/pricing desk level.
- Provide leadership for project teams where applicable.
- Maintain standardization of regional processes, products, and services .
Essential skills and qualifications:
- Knowledge of Chile Energy Markets
- Minimum 4 years energy experience with natural gas or electricity in one of these markets
- Fluency in English and Spanish
- High commitment to company vision and values.
- Bachelor's degree (Engineer or Economics)
- Ability to independently negotiate complex pricing and contracts.
- Must be able to identify, analyze and comprehend information from numerous sources, and communicate pertinent information to the appropriate parties.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficient in computer technology especially Microsoft Office products.
- Provide excellent customer service internally and externally.
