Ecostruxure IT Technical PCNS Specialist

The role is responsible for the day-to-day Technical Pre-sales activities, presentations, and proof of concept activities for EcoStruxure IT technologies across all industries, with a primary focus on the Sales and Pre-sales activities of the Schneider Electric Secure Power business.

The EcoStruxure IT Pre-Sales Technical Consultant collaborates with and takes guidance from the EcoStruxure IT Sales Manager & Secure Power Commercial Account Managers when working on customer-facing opportunities and Sales pursuits.

Role & Responsibilities

• Collaborate with and take direction from EcoStruxure IT Sales Managers and Commercial Account Managers and Partners, in relation to opportunity strategy and priority.

• Articulate Schneider Electric EcoStruxure IT technology and product portfolio, positioning PCNS solution to both business and technical user audience.

• To attend meetings with prospects and customers to determine technical and business requirements and ensure that all necessary information is collated prior to producing a solution proposal.

• Manage the technical sales bid process by responding to RFI & RFP documents.

• Liaising with EcoStruxure IT Product Managers to provide feedback from clients about product requirements and improvements.

• Manage & deliver compelling proof of concept technical demonstrations.

• Responsible for actively driving and managing the technical presales process with direct, enterprise and channel customers.

• Confidently deliver technical presentations internally and externally, to remote attendees and in-person attendees where required by local guidance.

• Deliver product and technical enablement to channel partners and internal stakeholders.

Create internal design configuration documentation including network diagrams with technical explanations.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Background in Enterprise IT environments, prior experience either with IT Servers, Data Centers or related Enterprise IT software and services.

• Working knowledge of Operating Systems, including Microsoft Windows and Linux.

• Basic knowledge of VMWare and virtualization technologies.

• Basic knowledge of Data Center protocols - SNMP & Modbus.

• Experience with Microsoft Office suite and Salesforce.com.

• Business Fluent in English

Mandatory Skills:

• vSphere, vCenter Server, vSAN 7/8

• Nutanix AHV, Prism Element and Prism Central

• Deploying and provisioning Virtual Machines

• Setting up service accounts on vCenter and ESXi hosts

• - Network troubleshooting skills (use of Wireshark, tcpdump)

• Linux Administration - configure IP address, DNS/hostname resolution, stop/start/enable services.

• Hyperconverged Infrastructure solutions - Dell VxRail, Nutanix AHV, HPE SimpliVity

Basic familiarity with PKI and SSL certificates

Certification Optional:

• Scripting experience (powershell/python).
