EA Ocean Transport Manager
To continually analyze, design, digitize and train on processes and tools to meet customer expectations and exceed the business needs.
(What is the expected contributions of the position to the results of the organization)
Ø Drive productivity savings for ocean freight, improve transit time performance and visibility for all EA ocean shipments
Ø Manage ocean productivity programs for both Logistics and factory
o Reduce noncontracted rates
o Improve container fill rates
o Minimize D&D
Ø Train, monitor and control booking and execution process to optimize cost per CBM shipped while minimizing transport leadtime
Ø Develop/tune for main shippers in region forecasting process and tool
Ø Work closely with transport leaders in the countries to drive improvements and support on operational issues
Ø Improve data accuracy with ocean partners and global corporate team to create right visibility for all stakeholders
Ø Lead with internal and external stakeholders the end-to-end transport digitization
Ø Deploy global freight audit pay systems for all ocean partners to enhance billing accuracy, visibility and SOA
Ø Leading central initiatives and coordinating logistics issues
Ø Supporting and deploying corporate strategies and guidelines
Ø Optimize the supply chain flows
Ø Investigate and deploy available capabilities in the market to optimize transport leadtime and cost
Ø Closely collaborate with global procurement team to update and maintain transport rate cards
Ø Build strong relations with our logistic providers and animate business reviews to drive performance
Qualifications
Education :
Degree/Diploma in transport / freight forwarding / logistics management and/or information systems technology and management related to freight forwarding & logistics
Job Related Experience:
6 years in the transport / freight forwarding / logistics field and/or experience in information system technology management related to freight forwarding & logistics.
Business Understanding :
Strong knowledge in transportation daily operations and expose to 3PL industry know-how and background, conversant with commercial processes and operational viabilities
Others (e.g. language skills, technical skills) :
Knowledge on SAP / OTM / EDI is preferred. Project management skill and people management skill and set to manage change management and influence, Good communication and interpersonal skill, strong analytical. Able to converse in English and Mandarin
