About the One Solution Centre

You will become part of the One Solution Centre (OSC), Schneider Electric's premier engineering hub for bespoke power and critical infrastructure solutions in the Pacific.

The OSC designs and delivers integrated solutions for data centres and mission-critical environments, combining critical power, cooling, prefabricated infrastructure, and digital technologies.

By combining global innovation with disciplined local execution, the team supports some of the most complex and critical customer environments across Australia and New Zealand, helping customers achieve resilience, sustainability, and operational excellence.

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to join our One Solutions team and play a key role in delivering complex data centre and mission-critical infrastructure projects across Australia and New Zealand.

This role is ideal for an experienced mechanical engineer who enjoys combining technical expertise with project delivery leadership. You'll work closely with Project Managers, customers, consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to lead the technical delivery of projects from design through to commissioning and operational handover. Drawing on deep technical expertise, you'll also act as a trusted advisor to customers and mentor junior engineers across the project delivery lifecycle.

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading the technical delivery of complex data centre and mission-critical infrastructure projects from design through commissioning and closeout.
  • Providing engineering oversight across critical cooling technologies, including chilled water systems, precision cooling solutions, DX systems, CRAH and CRAC units, and prefabricated modular infrastructure.
  • Supporting installation, testing, commissioning, site acceptance testing, and integrated systems testing activities.
  • Partnering with Project Managers to manage technical risks, project outcomes, schedules, budgets, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Acting as the primary engineering interface for customers, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders throughout project execution.
  • Reviewing engineering designs, technical documentation, equipment selections, and contractor submissions to ensure compliance with customer requirements and Australian Standards.
  • Providing technical leadership, mentoring Project Engineers, and promoting engineering best practice, safety, and continuous improvement across the team.
  • Supporting the delivery of innovative "One Schneider" solutions across critical power and cooling infrastructure environments.
