We're looking for a high-performing Business Development Manager to join our Queensland Channel & Partner team, focused on growing our switchboard builder network.
This role exists to drive growth and strengthen Schneider Electric's position as the partner of choice for switchboard builders in the Queensland market. You'll act as a trusted advisor to our certified partners, bringing deep technical knowledge and commercial acumen to help them win more work, deliver better outcomes, and grow their businesses with Schneider Electric solutions.
You'll work with a portfolio of certified switchboard builders ranging from family-owned specialists to large-scale manufacturers. The role covers the greater Brisbane region and surrounding areas, with occasional travel for key events / customer engagements.

You'll work closely with a local team of technical experts, offer managers, and marketing specialists, and collaborate with peers across the national Channel & Partner Teams. You'll also be supported by Schneider's digital sales tools, CRM systems, and global enablement resources to help you work smarter and close faster.
We're looking for someone who builds trust quickly, thrives on autonomy, and knows how to turn technical insight into commercial opportunity.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute strategic growth plans for your assigned switchboard partner portfolio
- Build strong, long-term relationships with business owners, estimators, and project managers
- Identify new project opportunities and influence specifications early in the sales cycle
- Provide technical guidance on switchboard design, compliance, and product selection
- Collaborate with internal application engineers, offer managers, and marketing teams to deliver value-added solutions
- Represent Schneider Electric at industry events, trade shows, and partner forums
- Maintain accurate pipeline and forecasting data in CRM systems
What You'll Bring
- Proven experience in business development, account management, or technical sales within the electrical industry
- Strong understanding of switchboard manufacturing, LV distribution, and standards
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
- Commercial mindset with a focus on value creation and long-term partnerships
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Self-driven, organised, and comfortable working autonomously in the field
- Electrical trade or engineering background preferred
