The Opportunity
The Renewables Sector is characterised by a fast-paced sales cycle, requiring deep connections with relevant Channel Stakeholders involved in procuring, designing and delivering sector specific projects. Sustainability objectives, carbon footprint reduction, net zero goals, these are just some of the drivers behind the significant growth across the Renewables Sector. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Business Development Manager to capitalise on the expanding Renewables Sector on the Australian East Coast. Based in either Sydney or Melbourne, you will work with key accounts, building a pipeline of Renewable opportunities early in the sales cycle, identifying End Users/Consultants and other Channel players as you work with technical SME's to develop a project specific solutions.
Working with Customers and peripheral influencers, you will work to uncover their needs so you can clearly articulate the right solution at the right time. You will develop a strong understanding of our offers and pursuit methodology to suit the Renewables Sector, including an understanding of our Digital offers to further enhance and differentiate Schneider Electric from the competition.

Key Responsibilities
- Leveraging your technical knowledge and/or industry experience to grow annual revenue, primarily focused on the Renewables segment
- Build a qualified pipeline, secure opportunities and achieve high conversion rates
- Identify and build relationships with key stakeholders operating within the Renewables Sector to increase your influence across key pursuits
- Collaborate with adjacent businesses to maximise Schneider Electric's full portfolio
- Clearly articulating Schneider's value from CAPEX to OPEX, leveraging Services and Digital Solutions
- Partnering with Marketing to define strategies and roadmaps that achieve business objectives
- Staying informed and networked across go-to-market channels and relevant industry bodies
- Taking a lead role negotiating contracting arrangements and other commercial requirements, working with relevant SMEs
- Regional travel when required
About You
- Target carrying sales background gained in a similar position (Account Manager or Business Development Manager)
- Proven ability to build rapport, nurture relationships (Mid-level and C-Suite) and influence key stakeholders to achieve business objectives
- You have proven success in working with End-Users, EPCs, Electrical Contractor and Switchroom / Switchboard Builders
Desirable Experience
- Knowledge of the Renewables Sector and Project Sales Cycle (BESS, Wind, Solar, Microgrid)
- Knowledge of MV Products & Solutions as well as selling within construction projects
- Tertiary qualifications (Business, Engineering, Marketing etc)
- Experience with Salesforce CRM
