The Opportunity



We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Business Development Manager to be based in Sydney, working within our growing Infrastructure and Transport segment. Working within key accounts, you will identify and qualify major infrastructure opportunities early in the sales cycle, map out the ecosystem of key stakeholders, develop a pursuit strategy and lead a team of technical and sales professionals to present a Customer specific value proposition utilising the full suite of Schneider offers.

Working with Customers and peripheral influencers, you will work to uncover their needs so you can clearly articulate the right solution at the right time. You will also work across our broader organisation as you collaborate with other lines of business, leveraging the support of commercial business functions and influencing leadership teams to gain support for your strategies.

With an eye to the future, you will be an experienced professional who can operate within a complex global organisation. As a seasoned professional, you will utilise your background to successfully influence leadership teams as you gain support for your strategies and make an Impact on our ongoing growth and success.

Key Responsibilities


  • Leveraging your technical knowledge and/or industry experience to grow annual revenue working with End Users and EPC's, primarily focused on the Infrastructure / Transport segment
  • Leading Major Infrastructure pursuits, collaborating with both sales and technical functions from other lines of business to present the full Schneider portfolio that meets our Customer's needs
  • Clearly articulating Schneider's value from CAPEX to OPEX, leveraging Services and Digital Solutions
  • Partnering with Marketing to define strategies and roadmaps that achieve business objectives
  • Proactively building a qualified funnel, securing opportunities and achieving high conversion rates
  • Staying informed and networked across go-to-market channels and relevant industry bodies
  • Taking a lead role negotiating contracting arrangements and other commercial requirements, working with relevant SMEs
  • Regional travel when required


About You


  • Target carrying sales background gained in a similar position (Account Manager or Business
  • Development Manager)
  • Proven ability to build rapport, nurture relationships (Mid-level and C-Suite) and influence key stakeholders to achieve business objectives
  • Experience working within Infrastructure, Transportation, Contractors and EPC's



Desirable Experience



  • Experience in leading complex pursuits with a long sales cycle involving multiple offers
  • Knowledge of MV products and solutions as well as selling within construction projects
  • Tertiary qualifications (Business, Engineering etc)
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM
