Application Landscape Manager

Schneider Digital (SD): All IT needs for SE are managed by SD; spread across 303 locations in 60 countries with over 5000 staff; along with engagements with all major Global IT Service Providers.

About the role: This role is critical for the successful partnership between SD and Finance Doman, securing its journey to automate, standardize and improve the Finance tools and processes. Some of the important aspects are:

1. Manage the application landscape for the Finance, Tax and Accounting scope (usage, costs, obsolescence, target)
2. Contribute to (propose and/or perform) rationalization activities to reduce legacy applications.
3. Transform the IT landscape to make it best in class and future ready.
4. Define IT strategy to address current and future finance processes/requirements.
5. Ensuring strategy is executed by defining and deploying the appropriate digital IT landscape.
6. Primary point of contact of SD to the Process Owners, work with them to drive Business/Digital transformation through effective collaboration of both internal and external IT professionals.

Essential Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

1. Ensure Delivery teams are taking every measure for the upkeep of applications
2. All security aspects of the application are addressed and maintained
3. Well defined Disaster Recovery Plan are in place and tested regularly.
4. All applications are adhering to the IT Security framework and requirements
5. Manage all technology related escalations, ensuring nothing goes to the next level
6. Ensure application are future proof w.r.t infrastructure, performance and overall capacity
7. Plan to address the growing needs of Business.
8. Provide all the required Digital/Technology support to Business to Digitize and automate their processes

Qualifications & Certifications

1. Engineering Graduate or Master of Computer Applications (MCA) or Chartered Accountant

12. Ability to work with ambiguous information
13. Foresight and ability to plan with little or no information
14. Own and manage the Total Cost of Ownership for both Global and Local Finance IT applications and solutions supporting Finance, Tax and Accounting domain.
15. Direct IT Delivery, ensuring execution of strategy, and product run/support.
16. Own the Governance of the strategic global applications,
17. Act as primary point of contact for all escalations across applications ensuring effective collaboration with the appropriate teams.

Functional

1. Good knowledge of Finance, Tax and Accounting Domain
2. Abreast with the latest technology trends in the industry
3. Provide Digital Solution to address Business Requirements
4. Ability to validate Business change requests

Technical

1. Define the IT application strategy securing the future of the relevant applications through effective archiving, performance optimization, effective database management, upgrade strategy, and Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery Plans
2. Go-to-person for all technical information
3. Excellent knowledge of Enterprise Architecture
4. Good problem-solving skills
5. Digital Solutioning Skills
6. Managed application landscape for Finance, Tax and Accounting
7. Good knowledge of SDLC and various Software development frameworks
8. Experience/good knowledge of SAP ERP
9. Experience in Automation (RPA, ML, AI) in Finance Domain

Desired Skills (Nice to have in addition to the Required Skills)

1. Knowledge of Business Process Modelling (BPM)
2. Knowledge of Business and Digital Architecture
