For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $80,640 - $120,960 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.

The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Schneider Electric has an opportunity for a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Specialist to join our finance team in Buffalo, NY. This is an onsite opportunity, 5 days a week.

As an Accounting Specialist, you will be working as part of Motivair by Schneider Electric, a leading innovator in advanced cooling solutions for data centers. If you have a passion for finance and a knack for problem-solving, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

You'll be part of a team that ensures financial integrity while driving continuous improvement and automation in how we work. You'll work in a tech-forward environment using ERP and analytics tools like HFM, Tableau, and EPM

What will you do?
  • Participate in month-end, mid-year, and year-end close cycles including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly financial reporting packages (HFM) and analyze balance sheet and P&L variances, partnering with controllers to explain what's really driving the numbers
  • Review and own key account reconciliations while working across teams to validate balances and ensure audit readiness
  • Fixed Asset Period end close Process, Revenue accrual process
  • Investigate and resolve intercompany transactions and help optimize global flows
  • Support internal and external audit processes with schedules, analysis, and documentation
  • Get the opportunity to lead and partner with a number finance transformation projects including automation, simplification, and standardization of accounting processes
  • Build and document strong internal controls that scale with the business


What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • 2- 5 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Proficiency in accounting software (HFM and EPM, Tableau) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications
  • CPA or MBA
  • ERP system experience
  • Interest in systems, process improvement, and data
