Position Summary

The Service Partnership Group (SPG) is looking for a Partnership Analytics Senior Specialist to empower the various teams with analytics and insights to enable them to make data driven decisions. The SPG handles all partnerships and revenues associated with the ecosystem of OTT content service providers, content licensing partners and various app and gaming partners on the mobile platform. This role specifically would be focusing on helping us drive the business in the mobile space.

The Partnership Analytics Senior Specialist will leverage Samsung's data on its various platforms to understand partner and product feature performance and further the team's mission to drive success for our partners and strengthen our negotiation position during deal processes. Furthermore, the Partnership Analytics Senior Specialist will be a pro-active thought leader in discovering opportunities from our data, identifying areas of improvement for our business and providing best practices in data analytics and visualization. The position will work closely with all levels of our group and potentially external partners too.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, analytical, and solutions-focused with the ability to unravel internal complexity/ambiguity, navigate the organization, and come to a quick understanding of the business and the relevant data. Partnership Analytics and Insights (PAI) strives for a culture of "teach-and-learn" and is looking for a candidate that wants to be part of a new team and culture that always aspires to improve itself and others. The position requires excellent communication and presentation skills, as well as the ability to collaborate with all areas of the business.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Become an expert on the data available to Samsung and how to interpret it
  • Generate data visualizations to support our business operations
  • Empower the various teams within the group in their partnership deal and management processes with data driven insights. This can range from partner/product performance analysis to pricing investigations during deal negotiations
  • Communicate technical requirements to stakeholders and vendors of varying technical ability
  • Coordinate with supporting functions across the organization, including finance and other business units, as necessary to drive team goals

Skills and Qualifications

  • BA/BS required
  • 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, solve complex problems, and navigate large, global organizations
  • Passionate about technology and new media trends
  • Self-motivated, assertive, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Mastery of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Project management experience
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience with Python/Pandas for data analytics would be a plus
  • Experience with at least one BI system such as Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, Domo or similar

Benefits:

  • Compensation for this role, for candidates based in NYC, is expected to be between $75,000 and $105,000 + bonus
  • Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role
