Role and Responsibilities

The primary objective of this position is to support SEA Corporate Marketing Strategy team, which is part of the Corporate Marketing and Communications division led by the VP of Corporate Marketing, who reports directly to the CEO of Samsung Electronics America. The goal of this position is to assist the company to continuously identify new opportunity areas the Samsung Brand can strengthen and position itself for growth. Additional roles include supporting division-wide key initiatives with on-time, in-scope/budget project managements. In order to achieve the highest project performance, the person in this position is expected to maintain effective communication with key stakeholders and leaders within the division and cross-divisionally where applicable. Also, require advanced PowerPoint skills with capability of storytelling visually.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Task Force and Project needs by effective communication and coordination across multiple stakeholders in addition to the development of executive presentations and deliverables through desktop research and market trend analysis
  • Support the brand strategic and thought leaders across the organization, developing the brand strategy, operationalizing the brand action plan (including governance model and KPIs), coordinating the brand execution across lines of businesses and developing a brand guardianship process to ensure a consistent E2E consumer experience.
  • Collaborate with the development of strategic initiatives aligned to the current market needs and Corporate Marketing team's priorities.
  • Support the development of corporate marketing presentations for top executives' reviews and strategy Task Force as needed.
  • Work with agencies and marketing services teams to initiate, develop, coordinate, and implement brand, loyalty and other marketing programs.
  • Manage consolidating and updating KPI trends and key activities across Corporate Marketing teams.
  • Lead weekly / monthly reporting of key team achievements, key initiative progress, etc.

Skills and Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree [MBA in marketing] with 6+ years of relevant experience with especially strong market analysis and strategy skills
  • Know how to manage complex cross department and cross company projects
  • Ability to effectively engage with and facilitate collaboration with diverse groups/stakeholders
  • Team oriented, but able to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Self-directed, self-motivated and results-oriented
  • Experience communicating with mid-level to top-level leaders (status reports, emails, presentations, meetings)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in in brand marketing fundamentals and in particular, the ability to identify specific consumer, shopper and industry insights to diagnose issues and opportunities and to translate them into a single minded strategy and action plan that deliver on specific growth objectives and goals
  • Driven and entrepreneurial in thinking and actions
  • Strong relationship development and strategic networking skills
  • Able to evaluate opportunities to refine company value proposition
  • Comfortable working at high levels of organizations
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and Word

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working in a global organization / consulting firm preferred.
  • Driven and entrepreneurial in thinking and actions
  • Strong relationship development and strategic networking skills
  • Able to evaluate opportunities to refine company value proposition
