Position Summary

Involved in every stage of the product development cycle.

Role and Responsibilities

Involved in every stage of the product development cycle. Own key features or software sub-systems that are being developed. Build APIs that support new software features for our customer facing and internal web/mobile apps. Foster a culture of software ownership, measurement, and testing. Provide leadership with technical solutions, feedback, and product recommendations. Work collaboratively to generate product improvements through software design review, code review, and discussion. Provide software systems mentoring across teams. Work with software systems which involve data processing, improving rules engines and maintain high scale data pipelines. Design and optimize relational software databases (Postgres, MySQL, Oracle, MS SQL Server). Work with public cloud offerings (AWS, Azure). Work with software functional or object-oriented languages (Java and Scala).

Skills and Qualifications

Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a related field, or a foreign equivalent plus 2 years of post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or related role. In Lieu of a Master's Degree and 2 years of experience, Employer is willing to accept a Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a related field, or a foreign equivalent plus 5 years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or related role.

Applicants must have 2 years of experience (5 years of experience in possession of a relevant Bachelor's Degree) in the following: (1) Development, unit tests, integration tests, performance tests for backend microservices with modern technologies including Javascript, NodeJS, Express, Restify, Swagger, Docker, and Mocha; (2) AWS to develop, run and maintain applications, and store, query, and retrieve data on cloud including EC2, S3, DynamoDB, CloudFormation, Athena; (3) Designing and implementing distributed data processing pipelines using Spark, Hive, Sqoop and Python in AWS Glue and Hadoop ecosystem; (4) Ingesting structured, unstructured and semi-structured data from various data sources into relational and non-relational databases including DynamoDB and Athena; (5) Caching (Redis) to store and retrieve data efficiently to help reduce the execution time of application; (6) JSON, YAML standard format to communicate data between two systems; (7) Agile methodologies; (8) Git; and (9) Amazon CloudWatch.
