Salesforce is seeking a dynamic and strategic Vice President, Employee Success Business Partner (ESBP) to shape and lead the people strategy for our Global Sales OUs, Next-Gen Platform and Global Public Sector. As a trusted partner to senior executives, you will align talent initiatives with business objectives to accelerate growth and strengthen organizational performance. You will lead a team of talented global ESBPs supporting these strategic sales functions.

As a key member of our global Employee Success team, you will influence executive decision-making, drive high-impact talent initiatives, and champion an exceptional employee experience. Partnering across geographies and functions, you will deliver scalable solutions in employee engagement and retention, organizational design, workforce planning, and leadership development - ensuring our workforce strategy supports long-term business success. You will be a critical leader driving the success of our global sales organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Trusted Advisor: Operate as a strategic partner to Global Sales OUs, Next-Gen Platform and Global Public Sector, leveraging credibility and relationships to influence key priorities.
  • People Strategy: Partner with executives to anticipate workforce needs and trends; proactively engage on workforce planning, location strategy, and organizational design.
  • Talent Planning & Development: Lead succession planning, leadership development priorities, and high-potential identification to ensure a strong and sustainable leadership pipeline.
  • Change Leadership: Act as a change agent, enabling leaders and teams to navigate rapid growth, market shifts, and business transformation.
  • Program Delivery: Collaborate with Centers of Excellence (CoEs) and global ES teams to deliver seamless people programs, policies, and processes across the organization.
  • Data & Insights: Analyze trends and metrics to inform strategy, improve performance, and enhance the employee experience.
  • Innovation: Continuously refine and innovate ES programs to align with evolving business needs, helping leaders anticipate challenges and deliver long-term results.
  • Team leadership- Drive performance, development, growth and support of the global ESBP team, providing best in class people leadership.

  • Strategic Perspective: Ability to see the big picture, anticipate future trends, and design scalable organizational strategies.
  • Change Management: Demonstrated success leading change initiatives that enhance culture and improve organizational effectiveness.
  • Talent Expertise: Skilled in assessing potential, accelerating leadership development, and applying advanced tools and processes to strengthen talent capability.
  • Relationship Builder: Proven ability to establish trusted, influential partnerships across all levels of the business; strong internal and external networker.
  • Executive Leadership: Confident leader who thrives in complex environments, makes decisive choices under pressure, and takes principled positions when necessary.
  • Innovative Mindset: Brings creative, data-driven solutions, connecting insights across information and experience to optimize programs and strategies.

Required Experience:

  • 15+ years of progressive Employee Success (HR) leadership, ideally supporting Distribution and Technology organizations.
  • Proven ability to lead global people initiatives across complex, matrixed, and high-growth environments.
  • Demonstrated success building and scaling organizations during periods of growth and transformation.
  • Strong track record of cultivating effective relationships with diverse client groups and senior executives at all levels.
  • Hands-on experience leveraging HRIS and other HR technology systems to drive efficiency, insights, and scale.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $251,500 to $402,500.

For Illinois based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $230,600 to $368,900.
