We are seeking a Strategy & Operations Mgr/Sr Mgr who will play a crucial role in supporting the continued growth of Salesforce. As part of the Global Renewals and Success Plan Sales team responsible for our go-to-market strategy, this role will support the design and execution of assigned strategic initiatives that will have an immediate and visible impact. Taking into account the multi-year business strategy and the different and evolving needs across our diverse business, this person will help shape the future of our Renewals and Success Plans business while driving meaningful incentive and compensation transformations that promote customer retention and company value.

This role is an exciting hybrid of strategic planning, compensation strategy, business operations, program management, and data analysis, and will require a well-rounded set of business skills, a healthy amount of gumption, and the ability to thrive in the ambiguity inherent to early-stage projects. The perfect candidate will thrive when these skills intersect with active and energetic partnerships to deliver innovative solutions in a rapidly evolving environment. Flexibility and attention to detail, along with the ability to deliver on time, are a must.
At Salesforce, we win together. Supporting this role is a high-performance cross-functional team, tenured executives, and strong cross-functional partners all focused on executing global strategic initiatives for our business.

Responsibilities:

  • Successfully own and implement key strategic initiatives that support business model transformation, and deliver within the desired timelines.
  • Develop scalable, efficient, repeatable process improvements that support new business models and compensation frameworks.
  • Partner cross-functionally to rapidly design and pilot innovative strategies-including incentive and compensation programs-and iterate as we learn. Support escalation pathways and protocols to drive governance and minimize exceptions.
  • Leverage data and insights to define and develop compelling business recommendations and communicate them effectively, driving decision-making and influencing key stakeholders.
  • Stay current on the latest Salesforce corporate strategy, releases, features, and functionalities, leveraging them to capitalize on new advancements and enhance strategic initiatives.
  • Lead development of clear, consistent, and timely communications to the field organization-ensuring that changes to compensation structures, incentive programs, and strategic initiatives are well understood and actionable.
  • Partner with Enablement and downstream teams to develop field readiness, change management, and communication strategies that drive alignment and engagement across sales, renewals, and customer success teams.
  • Proactively gather field feedback to improve clarity, transparency, and adoption of programs, and use insights to iterate communication plans and messaging.
  • Assist in developing and delivering presentations for senior executives to engage with their leaders or counterparts.
  • Collaborate with the Field, Comp, and Strategy teams to align Renewals & Success Plan processes-including compensation design, deployment, and messaging-with evolving business needs.

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • 5+ years experience in management consulting, a start-up, and/or business operations.
  • Experience supporting or managing compensation strategy, incentive design, or sales enablement communications preferred.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, with a demonstrated ability to distill complex information into clear, concise, and compelling messages tailored for field teams.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Team player able to lead and work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities simultaneously and delivering high-quality results within established timelines.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, leveraging data and insights to drive strategic decision-making.
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and executing strategic initiatives that drive business growth and customer value.
  • Strong situational analysis, negotiation, and decision-making abilities.
  • Detail and quality-oriented with the desire to quickly learn new concepts, business models, and technologies.
  • Familiarity with the SaaS business model, CRM, and data management.
  • Proficient with software productivity suites (Google Suites, MS Office, etc).
