Role Description
As a Senior Software Engineer in Salesforce BT, you will be part of a software engineering team that delivers customer value and functionality built on Salesforce using multiple Salesforce products. You will work with the team of software engineers and product managers responsible for feature development and application maintenance responsive to the needs of a highly sophisticated and visible audience.
We are looking for and enthusiastic Developer that will ensure every line of code we push to production is of the highest quality, meeting BT development expectations. This includes taking part in the design, planning, and enhancement of automation frameworks, utilities and tools. You should deliver solutions others can understand, support, maintain and expand, and provide other team members with direction on development projects. You are aware of trends and technical developments in the industry, and how those can be applied in your work; and have a point of view on the delivery approach for very complex or foundational features. You have the proven ability to anticipate technology lifecycle issues, work with projects involving multiple systems, and influence the team to deliver durable, extensible solutions.
This role requires that you be a self-starter with the ability to work under pressure and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously. You must possess good oral and written documentation skills and be able to interact with other team members to deliver fast and reliable code. You will also be asked to contribute ideas and provide feedback on varying initiatives that are part of planned roadmap as well as pivoting to reprioritized initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Build applications on the Salesforce platform using Salesforce Products and Technology
Participate in product and feature design with product team and business partners
Design applications based on common design patterns and best practice algorithms
Plan, design, and enhance automation framework, utilities and tools
Participate in and contribute to code reviews
Work with engineers, business analysts and product owners for product delivery
Ensure product quality meets customer expectations
Requirements:
7+ years of experience programming with Apex, Java, other OOP language
Proficient knowledge of the Force.com platform
Expert knowledge of Object Oriented programming
Extensive experience implementing complex technical projects
Extensive experience with HTML and CSS
Extensive experience with JavaScript
Experience with web services integration through SOAP or REST
Experience with Version Control Systems such as Git
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
Experience with Enterprise pipeline
Proven ability to lead and influence the design approach to new applications and features
Understanding of various user based security models
Ability to mentor and develop junior team members
Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment
Ability to be a great teammate, empower people, ensure accountability and achieve results
Ability to effectively communicate status and risk to the team and manager
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, related field, or relevant experience
Experience developing with Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components
Industry certification (ex. Java, Salesforce)
Experience with Agile Scrum methodology
Preferred Requirements/Experience:
Mulesoft developer
*Slack development experience
