Global Public Sector and Education is a Salesforce entity meant to accelerate digital transformation within Public Sector entities and higher education institutions. Salesforce's Global Public Sector organization supports central and local governments as well as public agencies, police and armed forces, healthcare institutions and more.
Are you passionate about painting the vision of a new way to work within the Public Sector, impacting those who work there and delivering better citizen outcomes? As a Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for building solutions that revolutionize how public sector agents collaborate and get work done by building relationships with key executives, selling directly to IT and business leaders, while also owning the technical elements of a value-oriented sales cycle.
What you will be doing
- Partner with Account Executives to drive complex, multi-stakeholder deal cycles across industries to solve diverse mission-critical business problems
- Collaborating with the broader Salesforce teams to deliver solutions that combine multiple Salesforce Clouds and services, positioning Slack as an integral part of these
- Drive the discovery process, helping to uncover your customer's current pains and align to their business objectives
- Elaborate creative value propositions corresponding to the specificities of our public sector customers and prospects
- Prepare and deliver high impact presentations and demonstrations that tell Slack's differentiated story as the platform where tools, people and AI work together
- Partner with customers to design Slack based solutions that drive value and significant business impact
- Ensure that customers understand and are comfortable with how Slack protects organizations with its industry-leading security program
- Guide customers through the evaluation process of Slack ensuring that our solution meets key business objectives and technical requirements
- Contribute to the success of a rapidly growing and evolving SE organization
- Act as a liaison between Product, Marketing and Sales, sharing customer feedback to help craft the product roadmap
- Working cross functionally with Success and cross clouds teams to build compelling go to market assets
What you should have
- Recommended 4-6 Enterprise years of sales engineering or solution consulting experience in a SaaS organization
- Experience using Slack
- Technical knowledge on how APIs, Generative AI, and LLMs work
- Proven experience working with technical stakeholders (e.g. developers, engineering teams, DevOps) and aligning solutions to their workflows
- Knowledge of the Salesforce ecosystem (Platform, Service Cloud, Agentforce, etc.)
- Experience with Public Sector entities and/or public sector tenders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (including emoji fluency); a knack for delivering compelling presentations and product demonstrations.
- A consultative approach with solving your customer's business challenges and having a track record of successfully overcoming technical and security objections. Problem solving is in your DNA!
- Familiarity with the broader enterprise SaaS ecosystem and modern workplace tools
- Ability to thrive and adapt to a rapidly evolving product and market that will define the future of work
- Fluent in English. Other european languages is a plus.
