Salesforce is seeking an experienced and technically proficient Senior Writer to join our dynamic Newsroom team. This role is pivotal in finding and crafting compelling, high-impact stories that advance Salesforce's narrative and position us as trusted authorities and thought leaders in the realm of AI, data, and enterprise technology. Reporting directly to the Executive Editor, this individual will play a key role in developing content that highlights Salesforce's pioneering advancements in enterprise cloud computing and AI, and our unique vision of the digital labor revolution. The Senior Writer will translate complex technical concepts and product news into clear, accessible, and engaging messages for a wide range of stakeholders, from Salesforce Admins to C-suite executives.
Key Responsibilities :
- Strategic Storytelling & Content Creation: Proactively identify, research, and write ambitious features and newsroom articles that articulate Salesforce's leadership in AI, data, and the digital labor revolution.
- Technical Translation: Distill complex technical concepts, product innovations, and industry trends into clear, compelling, and accessible narratives that resonate with diverse audiences, including tech decision-makers and C-suite executives.
- Thought Leadership Development: Craft content that communicates Salesforce's visionary approach to AI, explores the larger conversation around AI with unique insight, and reinforces our reputation as a pioneer in the enterprise technology and AI landscape.
- Industry Expertise: Stay deeply informed on industry trends, news, and developments, particularly related to AI, data, platform technologies, and the digital labor landscape, leveraging this knowledge to identify timely and relevant story opportunities.
- Editorial Quality & Voice: Adhere to and elevate the Salesforce Newsroom's distinct voice and purpose, ensuring all content maintains high editorial standards and aligns with overarching corporate and editorial objectives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, PR, marketing, and other internal teams to ensure content accuracy and alignment with broader company initiatives, while maintaining editorial integrity.
Qualifications :
- 5-7+ years of journalism experience, with a demonstrated ability to break, understand, and contextualize highly technical product news.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with a portfolio of clips that showcase an ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling, and accessible messages.
- Demonstrated technical chops and a strong understanding of enterprise technology, including AI, data, SaaS, and platform technologies, as well as familiarity with Salesforce products and ecosystem strategy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong collaborative spirit and ability to work across teams.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience covering enterprise technology, AI, data, or platform technologies for a business and/or technical audience.
- Experience working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders across a large organization.
- Experience working in a global tech company with a diverse, international audience.
This role is hybrid and goes into the office 3 days per week.

For New York-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $169,600 to $233,200.
