The Role
As a Senior Solution Engineer - also known as Presales Engineer, Sales Consultant, or Solution Consultant - you will be a key driver in helping our customers in the Retail and Consumer Goods space harness the transformative power of AI. You'll focus heavily on AI Agent projects next to your daily business in the Retail and Consumer Goods space, demonstrating Salesforce's leading-edge capabilities across automation, intelligence, and personalization.

The Solution Engineer plays a pivotal role in presenting Salesforce's product offerings and architectures to prospects and clients. They are instrumental in instilling confidence in our technology infrastructure and overcoming technical objections throughout the sales cycle by demonstrating how our solutions fit a customers' current IT landscape and solve their most pressing business challenges.

With a combination of deep technical acumen, coding know-how, and strong business understanding, you will partner with Account Executives to engage customers, build trust, and guide them through the journey of innovation using Salesforce technology.

Your Responsibilities

  • Drive AI Agent adoption and demonstrate how automation and intelligence can solve complex industry challenges.
  • Understand customer goals and map Salesforce solutions to meet both technical and business objectives.
  • Build and deliver tailored product demonstrations, technical deep-dives, and engaging workshops.
  • Respond effectively to RFIs, RFQs, RFPs to progress Salesforce in the bidding process.
  • Manage and successfully run Agent POCs in customer sandbox environments.
  • Be a trusted advisor to senior decision-makers in IT and business, showcasing how Salesforce fits into their enterprise architecture.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, and engineering teams to stay ahead of the curve.
  • Stay current with Salesforce's evolving AI portfolio and obtain relevant certifications.
  • Achieve quarterly and annual objectives set by management.

Your Qualifications

  • Outgoing and confident communicator who thrives in customer-facing environments.
  • Technically sharp - comfortable writing code (Java, CSS, working with APIs), and eager to explore new technologies.
  • Passionate about AI, automation, and how they can unlock business value.
  • Insightful - able to connect technology features to customer outcomes.
  • Adaptable team player who brings creativity, curiosity, and ownership to the table.
  • Proficient in English and either German or French (both written and verbal).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business IT, or a related field.
  • 4+ years in a solution engineering, technical consulting, or equivalent customer-facing technical role.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce or other enterprise platforms (Salesforce certifications are a strong plus).
  • Strong understanding of AI and related technologies.
  • Understanding of enterprise automation and process optimization.
  • Proficiency in English is mandatory with additional proficiency in either German or French.
  • Background or interest in Retail and Consumer Goods industries of advantage.
