Security & Compliance Architect - Subject Matter expert for Security
We're looking for Security & Compliance Architects to support sales to government agencies. We work with agencies with a diverse set of issues around security, compliance, risk as well as emerging technology and trends. This is a highly technical and customer-facing role with most of its impact focused on the success of our customers. There must be a strong desire to leverage both technical and sales skills, including the ability to solicit business requirements, develop a technical sales strategy, and effectively demonstrate the solutions that address these requirements and provide business value, often using configuration or light coding to tailor the demonstration to the audience.
We look for technical professionals who can "own" the conversation on Salesforce's Privacy, Security and Compliance posture. The role of a Security & Compliance Architect is to work with our sales teams and customers to:
Understand a customer's risk, security or compliance concerns and communicate how Salesforce's infrastructure, architecture and application features can address these concerns.
Apply knowledge of cyber and information security regulation and legislation (specifically FedRAMP, CJIS, HIPAA, PCI, SOX, as well as industry frameworks, such as NIST CSF and ISO 27001/27002) to address customer concerns around risk, data privacy or Salesforce's compliance posture.
Work with a variety of technical organizations within Salesforce - including Technology Compliance, Technology & Product and Engineering teams
Have strong understanding of network security, general engineering principles, cryptography, data in transit, and other technical aspects to assist in in-depth conversations with IT/CIO conversations.
Partner with sales teams to remove security as a blocker by speaking to CISOs, CIOs and other key decision makers.
Understand current and emerging cyber security risks, and innovative risk management methods and eloquently communicate to customers.
Scale the role through external and internal education and enablement efforts
Lead hands-on technical workshops and education sessions

Willing to learn how to configure our technology to build demonstrations that will show off the power of Salesforce's platform
Adding to our broader team's point of view and base of knowledge and understanding
Responsibilities:
Work with Account Teams to develop and execute on the best sales strategy for opportunities
Advise CIO/CTO/CXO level contacts, their departments, and IT teams as they look to move their business to a cloud architecture
Engage with clients, partners and internal deal teams to present Salesforce 's technology infrastructure, including demonstrating deep familiarity with company's PaaS, infrastructure and security
Understand the customer needs, establish salesforce leadership, and demonstrate Salesforce's products as the best solution that addresses the technical and business requirements
Work closely with other elements of the Salesforce , e.g. alliances, sales effectiveness, product marketing, etc. to develop and execute internal and external programs and initiatives
Participate in all appropriate product, sales, and procedural training and certification to acquire and maintain the knowledge necessary to be effective in the position
Willing and able to travel
Required Skills:
Ability to think strategically and to advise companies on opportunities to transform their organizations based on cloud computing innovations
Capacity to track many industry and internal information sources and stay current on the latest in changing technologies. Synthesize and share innovation insights
A good understanding of the architectural principles of web based platforms including SaaS, multi-tenancy, multi-tiered infrastructure and application servers.
Understanding of cloud offerings in the market and ability to discuss cloud architectures
Solid oral, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work as part of a team to solve technical problems in varied political environments
A good understanding of the security processes, standards & issues involved in multi-tier, multi-tenant web applications - e.g. SSO, OAuth, SAML, Field-Level Encryption, etc.
Principles of network, application and information security
Proven Sales/Solution Engineering or equivalent experience (IT, product management, consulting, etc.) with position offered commensurate to experience and skills
Enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and innovative environment
Fluent in English and Italian - mandatory
The ideal candidate will have one or more of the following certifications:
CISSP: Certified Information Systems Security Professional
CCSP: Certified Cloud Security Professional
CEH: Certified Ethical Hacker
ECSA: EC-Council Certified Security Analyst
GSNA: GIAC Systems and Network Auditor
GCIH: GIAC Certified Incident Handler
CISA: Certified Information Systems Auditor
