This Role

Are you passionate about solving complex problems and leading impactful solutions? The Lead Member of Technical Staff (Salesforce Platform) is a senior engineering role within the Digital Marketing Technology team in Hyderabad. As an LMTS, you will drive the design, development, and delivery of innovative, scalable, and high-performing solutions across our Salesforce ecosystem.
You will serve as a go-to Salesforce expert, collaborating with product managers, architects, and global teams to design future-ready architectures and lead implementation. You'll be hands-on, developing enterprise-grade solutions while mentoring engineers and contributing to technical strategy.
This role requires strong full-stack Salesforce development expertise, the ability to navigate ambiguity, and a deep understanding of modern development practices in large-scale systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technical design and architecture of complex, scalable Salesforce applications using Apex, LWC, Visualforce, and platform APIs.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance on Salesforce best practices, governance limits, performance optimization, and solution trade-offs.
  • Build robust integrations using middleware and external APIs (REST/GraphQL), including cross-cloud and third-party systems (e.g., MuleSoft, Commerce Cloud).
  • Partner with global stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver end-to-end solutions aligned with business needs.
  • Automate business processes using Flow, Process Builder, Assignment Rules, and other declarative tools.
  • Drive code quality through peer reviews, unit testing, and automated test frameworks.
  • Mentor junior engineers, promote technical excellence, and foster a culture of innovation and accountability.
  • Collaborate on deployment strategies using modern CI/CD pipelines (Salesforce DX, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.).
  • Participate in all phases of SDLC - from discovery and design to deployment and post-production support.

Basic Requirements/Experience

  • 12+ years of full-stack engineering experience with deep Salesforce platform expertise
  • Expert in Lightning Web Components, Apex, Visualforce, SOQL and Salesforce data model
  • Extensive experience integrating Salesforce with external systems using REST/GraphQL APIs
  • Strong command over JavaScript, CSS, and modern front-end frameworks
  • Deep understanding of software design patterns, object-oriented programming, and enterprise architecture
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce governor limits, standard/custom objects and Platform Events
  • Proven ability to lead technical initiatives, influence design decisions, and deliver high-quality outcomes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Hands-on contributor with the ability to lead projects, troubleshoot complex issues, and make architecture decisions

Requirements/Experience

  • Certifications: Platform Developer I & II, JavaScript Dev I, Salesforce Administrator
  • Experience with Salesforce Flows, Process Builder, and other declarative tools
  • Familiarity with test automation tools: Selenium WebDriver, JUnit, TestNG, ApexUnit, Kumonium, etc.
  • Experience with CI/CD, DevOps processes, and tooling
  • Exposure to CRM Analytics, dashboards, and data visualization tools
  • Prior experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
