We are looking for an Account Executive within our Strategic Public Health team. You'll be leading our engagement with a small group of key accounts, within Salesforce Global Public Sector.

You'll be joining a successful and close-knit team where every Account Executive who was present for the entire year achieved their target!. The focus will be selling the complete Salesforce technology suite to organisations within the NHS and health sector.

This position is ideal for a driven enterprise account executive who has a genuine interest in the health sector and a solid grasp of how Salesforce solutions can enable customers to deliver improved health outcomes for citizens.

Success in this Public Sector role requires established account relationship skills and a demonstrable history of effectively selling to both executive ('board') level and senior business stakeholders. Strong technical engagement skills with IT decision-makers are also essential.
Given our consistent competition with Microsoft, excellent competitive solution selling abilities will be key.

Many sales engagements will involve direct sales efforts, followed by public tender, which will require strong organisational skills and the ability to help lead and write elements of proposals. You'll need to be able to lead conversations and point of view sessions with our Partners who may lead bid responses.

You'll likely be taking complex solution-selling to a new level, championing the Salesforce product suite and brand as a leader in Cloud technology, with an emphasis on Agentforce and the benefits of a data driven solution.

You will have access to comprehensive support functions, from internal sales assistance to expert pre-sales, ensuring you have the resources needed to generate and advance opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Own a small client portfolio of customers and prospects and manage the sales process end to end
  • Build a compelling point of view for the client portfolio that demonstrates the Salesforce capabilities to deliver a digital citizen engagement that is unsurpassed
  • Liaise and build relationships with Public Sector clients as well as their partner organisations
  • To achieve/exceed an annual sales quota by thoroughly qualifying all leads & sales opportunities and to leverage business from new & established relationships
  • Play a key role as you drive critical initiatives into the targeted territory accounts
  • To strategise, negotiate & close business

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of software & applications sales - preferably cloud-based software
  • Previous experience selling complex software solutions to customers in Public Sector/ Government/Government Owned Enterprise accounts
  • Strong direct sales experience
  • Ability to manage a wider ecosystem of partners and advisory firms
  • Consistent over-achievement of quota and revenue goals
  • A successful history of net new business sales is a must
  • Proven track record with relevant customer relationships
  • Direct & New Business sales experience
  • Proven ability to demonstrate and collaborate effectively with virtual and extended teams - both internally & externally.
  • Proven ability to manage complex tender and commercial processes
  • Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the core proficiencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.)

Desired Skills:

  • SaaS (Software as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a service), IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service)
  • Software & applications sales experience for a CRM (Customer Relationship Management)
  • Strong relationships across State/Central Government IT, Customer/Citizen & Business teams
