Infrastructure/Kuburnetes Architect - Distributed Systems

Desired Skills and Experience:

The team is seeking a highly qualified and energetic Architect Software Engineer who will be responsible for working on development scalable, resilient and fault tolerant transactional and distributed systems. The Architect Software Engineer will be responsible for architecture, design and hands-on implementation.

Desired Skills:

• An experienced technical leader who has successfully transitioned an on-premises product to the cloud and operates it at a reasonable production scale.
• Someone with proven expertise in working across multi-cloud environments, including AWS, GCP, Azure, and Alibaba Cloud.
• An expert in Kubernetes, Distributed Systems, and Java programming, with 10+ years of hands-on experience in these areas.
• A confident communicator capable of delivering effective presentations to executives, collaborating with peer architects in meetings, and guiding junior engineers in crafting high-quality design documents.
• A hands-on professional who doesn't shy away from writing or reviewing code as needed.
• Experience with relational databases is a big plus.
• An exceptional mentor with strong conflict resolution skills, someone approachable and calm under pressure, who engineers trust to resolve conflicts effectively.
• You should have 15+ years of professional experience, or a M.Sc. in a relevant academic field and 12+ years of professional experience.

For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $230,700 to $351,800.

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $251,900 to $384,100.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
