The Human Resources Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) team provides support for Salesforce's acquisitions starting with early "pre-diligence" insights, through to formal due diligence, integration planning, and execution. Our team has supported the integration of more than 90 acquisitions, giving us a direct opportunity to support a critical innovation engine of the company. We work closely as a team and partner deeply with cross-functional partners across Employee Success (Human Resources), Corporate Development, and nearly every Salesforce business function.

We're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive M&A Analyst to join our team, focusing on critical employment aspects of our mergers and acquisitions. The HR M&A Analyst will bring broad HR and consultative expertise to drive and support our Deal and Integration Leads with program management, planning, consultation, and execution of one or more specific integration workstreams. In this role, you'll be instrumental in ensuring a smooth transition for employees joining our organization through acquisitions, specifically by managing employment contract processes and optimizing our contract generation system. Experience in at least one other HR discipline-new hire operations, data & analytics, generalist functions, employee experience, or Workday-is highly valued. Our nimble team thrives in fast-paced adaptable work, often adjusting responsibilities to meet the dynamic needs of each acquisition.

Core Responsibilities:

- M&A Employment Contract Management: Work closely with our Employment Legal team to draft, review, and finalize employment contracts for acquired employees, ensuring compliance with all relevant labor laws and internal policies, and partnering with HR Deal Leads to capture acquisition-specific customization requirements
- Background Investigations: Partner with our Background Investigation team to facilitate and track timely and accurate completion of background checks for incoming employees, identify and resolve issues, and manage background check expenses.
- Contract Generation System Ownership: Take full ownership of our contract generation system, becoming the subject matter expert for its functionality and capabilities, partnering with our IT teams in system maintenance and enhancements.
- System Configuration and Optimization: Accurately configure the contract generation tool to meet the unique needs of each acquisition and employee group, including customizing templates, workflows, and data integrations to streamline the contract generation process.
- Global Stakeholder Management: Effectively collaborate with diverse global and cross-functional teams, including Legal, HR, IT, M&A deal teams, Corporate Development, and Finance, to ensure consistent, seamless, and locally compliant execution of HR M&A integration tasks and workstreams, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
- Multi-Acquisition Focus: Manage one or more concurrent acquisitions or multiple integration tracks within larger transactions, depending on volume and complexity.
- Enhance Technology Platforms: Evaluate and optimize M&A HR technology solutions to address process gaps. Lead AI-driven initiatives and assist with system enhancements by gathering requirements, managing intake requests, conducting UAT, and implementing changes.
- Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy in our M&A employment integration processes, particularly as they relate to contract generation and background checks.
- Documentation & Training: Develop and maintain clear documentation for contract generation system configurations and employment integration processes. Train other team members on tool usage and best practices.

Requirements for Success:

- Experience: Brings experience and depth in one or more HR areas, such as: employee contracts and offers, employment legal matters, HR/Recruiting operations and systems, employee programs, etc. with desire to gain skills and experience beyond your current area of expertise
- Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated aptitude for learning and mastering new software applications, particularly contract management or document automation tools. Experience with contract generation tools is a significant plus.
- Project Management: Drives projects to successful completion in dynamic environments, adeptly managing competing priorities and tight deadlines. Possesses strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with an acute attention to detail.
- Communication: Articulates complex information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing. Keeps stakeholders well-informed and aligned through succinct and impactful communication.
- Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively in a cross-functional global team environment with the ability to develop effective relationships across all levels of the organization and with diverse cross-functional groups.
- Proactive Mindset: A self-starter who can anticipate needs and drive initiatives forward.
- Confidentiality: Proven discretion in managing highly confidential information, including sensitive employee demographic and compensation data.
- Flexibility: Ability to flex working hours to support deal activity requirements and international timezones.

Opportunities for Future Growth and Development:

- M&A Employee Data Management
- M&A Employement Due Diligence and Integration
- Analytics, Reporting, and Insights
- Employee Experience and Talent Onboarding/Development
