We're seeking a dynamic, highly organized, and strategic leader to serve as the Director of Strategy & Operations for our Employee Success (HR) Operations organization. Acting as a trusted advisor and Chief of Staff to the VP, Global Head of ES Operations, this individual will be instrumental in driving operational excellence, shaping strategic initiatives, and ensuring smooth execution of the team's priorities. Defining what comes next for ES Operations, exploring disruptive trends and new operating models. A key partner in translating our internal excellence into a competitive advantage for the company. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, operations, and organizational effectiveness, requiring both a strategic mindset and a bias for execution.


Key Responsibilities


Business Operations & Governance

  • Lead the operational rhythms and rituals for the ES Operations organization, including staff meetings, leadership offsites, QBRs, and strategic reviews.
  • Develop and manage leadership meeting agendas, facilitate sessions, and ensure effective follow-up and accountability.
  • Drive headcount management, workforce planning, budget tracking, and Long Range Plan (LRP) processes in partnership with Finance and internal ES stakeholders.
  • Own the end-to-end data narrative for the ES Operations leadership team, ensuring all reporting on key business metrics is accurate, insightful, and clearly communicated to executive stakeholders.
  • Build a foundation of governance for the leadership team and provide consistency of support in an environment of continual change

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Partner closely with the VP and leadership team to define strategic priorities and translate them into actionable plans.
  • Lead or support strategic projects such as AI and automation enablement, location strategy, outsourcing optimization, and org design initiatives.
  • Conduct data-driven analysis and provide recommendations to inform executive decision-making.
  • Manage the relationship with consultancy team to influence and support the long term strategy. Support the leadership team translate external benchmarks and internal performance data into a strategic roadmap for service delivery improvement.

Executive Communications & Enablement

  • Develop high-impact materials for executive presentations, including QBRs, ELT updates, and cross-functional communications.
  • Synthesize complex information into clear, concise narratives that resonate with senior leaders.
  • Ensure consistent messaging and storytelling across the ES Operations organization.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Act as a connector across Employee Success and other corporate functions (Finance, IT, Legal, etc.) to ensure alignment and execution on shared priorities.
  • Support change management and communications efforts for major initiatives.
  • Coach and guide project leads or program managers to deliver against key outcomes.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in strategy, operations, or management consulting, preferably within a global, matrixed organization.
  • Proven experience in HR operations, business operations, or a Chief of Staff-type role.
  • Strong analytical, financial, and strategic planning skills - comfort with budgets, headcount, and resource planning
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
  • Excellent storytelling and executive communication skills; adept at building executive-level decks and summaries.
  • High EQ and collaboration skills; able to influence without direct authority.
  • Familiarity with the HR technology ecosystem, including Workday (reporting expertise), Service Cloud and a strong preference for experience with Salesforce technologies and their application in HR service delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large-scale, global transformation initiatives in a multi-region, shared service or operations environment.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or similar advanced degree a plus.
