Salesforce's Commerce Cloud has immediate opportunities for very talented frontend software engineers who want their lines of code to have significant and measurable positive impact! This candidate will be working with a group of premier engineers to build AI-powered agentic commerce experiences that our customers will love, adopt and use while keeping our trusted platform stable and scalable! The role encompasses architecture, design, implementation, and testing to ensure we build products right and release them with high quality.

Responsibilities:

  • UI Design and Development: Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate wireframes and mockups into interactive and visually appealing user interfaces. Develop reusable UI components and implement front-end functionality.
  • Front-end Technologies: Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in front-end development, including UI frameworks, libraries, and tools. Apply this knowledge to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of UI development processes.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with back-end developers and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration between UI and server-side components. Collaborate on API design and data integration, maintaining a high level of code quality and performance.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize UI performance by identifying and addressing bottlenecks and implementing best practices for code optimization, caching, and asset management. Conduct performance testing and monitor production systems to identify and resolve UI-related performance issues.
  • User Experience (UX): Advocate for excellent user experience by providing input on UX design decisions, conducting usability testing, and continuously improving UI elements based on user feedback and metrics.
  • Code Quality and Documentation: Ensure high-quality code by following best practices, conducting code reviews, and implementing automated testing processes. Document UI components, APIs, and processes for ease of use and future reference.
  • Mentoring and Knowledge Sharing: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior UI engineers, fostering their growth and development. Share knowledge and best practices within the team and contribute to a culture of continuous learning.

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in designing, developing, and releasing consumer-facing software.
  • Strong programming skills in Javascript, CSS, and frontend frameworks such as React.
  • Quality mindset with the ability to ship well-tested code.
  • Problem-solving ability around an unfamiliar codebase, using tools available to understand a complex ecosystem.
  • Knowledge of web accessibility standards and best practices.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Self-motivated taking initiative independently, learn quick, meet deadlines and debug/problem-solve.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with Design Systems. Experience building UI components using Eclipse or IntelliJ is a plus.
  • Familiarity with commerce platforms/packages/software.
