Sales Representative (Pacific Northwest)

Job Summary
Position Overview
This position will be located at a home-based office; States covered in the territory are Washington, Oregon, and Vancouver, Canada.
Maintains contact with established customers and develops new prospects in assigned territory. Services existing and prospective accounts in assigned territory in accordance with the company's policies and programs. Successfully promotes new growth products. Analyzes customer's needs and formulates solutions using all resources made available by the company. Maintain and increase sales volume with established accounts and aggressively seek new projects to position products by implementing planned sales strategies, and company marketing programs, and delivering effective customer service. Awareness of competitive products and marketing practices is required, to keep management informed concerning them. Work closely as part of a regional and national sales team. Cooperates and assists fellow salespersons, sales managers, marketing personnel, customer service, manufacturing, and other company personnel. Heavy architectural and engineering sales calls for specification positions, as well as contractor calls. Attend and participate in sales meetings, training programs, self-development programs, conventions, association meetings, and trade shows. Possess or have the ability to obtain a valid US passport.
The position covers multimillion-dollar territory within the Western United States and Western Canada.
Required Qualifications
Required Skills
- 5-10 years selling value-added products in a construction-related field. Construction industry experience required.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- Must have a working knowledge of technical sales in commercial construction and infrastructure. Demonstrate ability to consistently meet customer expectations and work as part of a team. Possess good problem-solving skills and the ability to discuss business issues and propose appropriate solutions. Possess a strong sales orientation, comfortable with cold calling, and ability to fill the pipeline with opportunities. Maintain up-to-date records through computer systems (i.e. CRM). Good presentation skills.
