Raytheon is looking for part-time, temporary L0bo Operations and Maintenance engineers. This position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of the Level zero box (L0bo) subsystem associated with the program operational and factory environments. Candidates will be required to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical components associated with the custom, proprietary subsystem. As a hardware electrical engineer, you will be responsible for the sustainment of critical custom hardware that enables the customer mission and ensures the successful delivery of our products and services. Position also requires the periodic serviceability check-out of shelf spares and component level spares. This position is onsite in Richardson, Texas.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Maintain Electrostatic Discharge and lab safety training
  • Remove and replace failed components
  • Utilize electronics test equipment to diagnose and repair systems
  • Repair circuit cards, motherboards and associated components
  • Design test FPGA programs to aid in hardware failure analysis

Basic Qualifications:

  • Highly skilled in the use of electronics test equipment such as digital multimeters and oscilloscopes
  • Experience with the L0bo subsystem
  • Experience with repairing circuit cards
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Understand diagnostic procedures and error remediation
  • Understand FPGA architectures and implementations
  • Active TS/SCI with CI poly
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous domain experience with high bandwidth ground processing systems
  • Extensive experience with wideband front-end subsystems
  • Experience with troubleshooting and repair of digital electronics systems

This is a temporary position of an undetermined length.
