If this sounds like you, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Senior Optimization Analyst focused on supporting product recommendations and site personalization, as well as helping to drive optimization efforts across our digital ecosystem. In this role, you will be involved with the design, execution, and analysis of A/B tests aimed at optimizing our website & mobile app and enhancing the effectiveness of our product recommendation algorithms. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you'll have the opportunity to shape our digital strategy and drive impactful changes that directly impact the user experience. If you're ready to leverage your analytical skills to drive innovation and deliver personalized solutions in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you!

A major focus of this role is aiding in product recommendation algorithm and user experience optimization, but with segmentation and A/B testing requirements. Though the role will be statistics and insights based, digital strategy must always be at the forefront. Building visually beautiful and thoughtfully connected dashboards will be necessary, but more importantly, the analyst must generate insights and make suggestions on how to further optimize user experience. This role will have direction from the Manager of Digital Optimization, but the successful candidate must also be driven and curious - specifically, following that curiosity to deeply understand a user's behavior. The goal is to build an experience, backed by data and proven with experiments, that our guests love.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day, the analyst will provide research and insights to drive growth. This research will be related to:
    • Deep segmentation discovery
    • Recommendation algorithm analysis
    • Historical and guest behavioral data
    • Analysis of experiments
  • Perform conversion optimization through product recommendations and experimentation.
  • Aid in personalization via segmentation/targeting and automation.
  • Lead design-of-experiments to outline A/B and multivariate tests.
  • Manage experimentation project timelines and tasks from strategy through development and analysis.
  • Build out dashboards and work with data engineering teams to connect new data for automated analysis -- focusing on insights.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA) required with a degree focus on Statistics, Advanced Analytics, Business, or other quantitative discipline preferred.
  • 3-5 years of work experience required; with specific experience performing either conversion optimization, data science, strategic digital analysis, or business intelligence/marketing analytics highly preferred.
  • Digital Test-and-Learn (experimentation/optimization) background, with hands on experience using Adobe Analytics and Adobe Target as platforms in an e-commerce environment preferred; mobile implementation exposure also preferred.
  • Hands-on knowledge of the statistical methods used in the planning and evaluation of A/B & multivariate testing. Ability to articulate the steps in designing an experiment and how a test might change to address one goal vs another.
  • Experience building automated dashboards from backend tables. Specifically, experience with leveraging Azure Databricks to create Power BI dashboards is a plus.

Knowledge and Skills:

To perform this position successfully, the individual should be a self-starter and able to complete small projects without considerable direction. Furthermore, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty in a timely and accurate manner. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or ability required to satisfy this position:
  • Deep statistics knowledge, with Data Science background a plus
  • Exposure to digital product recommendations and experience personalization
  • Aptitude in design-of-experiments
  • Hands on experience with a web testing tool (e.g., Adobe Test and Target)
  • Demonstrated experience transforming data into actionable insights
  • Proficiency in presenting data and insights to a diverse audience
  • Strong project management mindset - tasking projects from inception to completion, with JIRA
  • Ability to create automated and connected dashboards
  • Data scripting ability (Python, R, SQL, etc.), with familiarity using the Microsoft Azure environment
  • Experience or desire to straddle both analytics and product perspectives
  • Very detail oriented, not just in data but in quality assurance of digital experiences
  • Adobe Analytics experience

We know there's a lot to consider. As you go through the application process, our recruiters will be glad to provide guidance, and more relevant details to answer any additional questions. Thank you again for your interest in Royal Caribbean Group. We'll hope to see you onboard soon!
