Business Partner II, HR

Pasay, Philippines

Position Summary:

The incumbent shall be responsible in implementing necessary HR interventions needed in building and sustaining the culture of Royal Caribbean Cruises. The talent shall be overall responsible in partnering with the functional managers in carrying out the day-to-day HR operations function for the business being manage - employee relations, performance management, selection process, learning and development, employee engagement, internal communications and talent recognition programs - anchored on the company's drive to become a great place to work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manpower planning & selection
    • Manages the manpower planning process and ensure adequacy of manpower complement based on budgeted headcount
    • Ensures that only qualified, competent and suited individuals are hired in the organization
    • Work with the HR Administration Team in performing salary analysis to ensure internal equity

  • Benefits consultant
    • Respond to stakeholders on their queries and concerns regarding benefits policies

  • Learning and development
    • Ensure that the business supported creates competency profiles
    • Spearheads conduct of the competency gap analysis together with the Managers
    • Work with the Talent Development Team in the establishment of training needs analysis and implement learning and development intervention

  • Employee engagement
    • Implement a mechanism to gather employees feedback and ensure resolution of issues identified
    • Assist the Talent Engagement Manager in initiating programs and intervention which will develop and enhance employee's sense of pride
    • Work with the Talent Engagement Manager and the Functional Managers in enhancing the results of the organization's HR engagement survey and in its goal to be recognize as a great place to work

  • Employer branding
    • Implement designed programs to ensure that employees take pride in being part of the RCCL organization
    • Assist in building linkages to the academe and to the industry to uplift and sustain the RCCL brand
    • Roll out an employee on-boarding program aimed in strengthening the internal brand of RCCL

  • Culture building
    • Work with Managers and internal stakeholders in creating and maintaining a work environment where employees embed the RCCL values in their work lives
    • Implement company policies supporting the thrust to promote and enhance the company's culture
    • Collaborates with the Managers and fellow HR Business Partners in promoting, sustaining and strengthening the RCCL culture

  • Talent Recognition
    • Implement the global recognition programs locally
    • Ensure that talent recognition programs are aligned with the RCCL rewards and recognition philosophy and values

  • Employee Relations
    • Ensures employee discipline management are carried out on reported employee infractions
    • Ensures that due process and legal standards are observed on all disciplinary actions
    • Ensures resolution of employee disciplinary cases and employee complaints within time specified and due process is accorded with regards to implementation of employee disciplinary process
    • Provide necessary technical assistance to ensure company's adherence to Department of Labor and Employment rules and regulations

  • Responsible in preparing the people cost budget for the team and businesses he/she supports

  • Directly supervises, monitors and address performance of the HR - Talent Engagement staff to meet KPI and metrics, provide recommendations as appropriate
