About the team:
Rover’s International Business Team is responsible for driving revenue and profits growth across 16 countries: Canada, the United Kingdom and Continental Europe which includes among many countries Spain, Germany, France and Italy.
Who we are looking for:
We are looking for a candidate who can navigate with ease across multiple business domains including marketing, digital product, engineering, finance, data analytics and many more.
The ideal candidate will independently identify business opportunities and risks, quantify them, prioritize them, and partner cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders to drive execution.
The candidate will report to the Director of International Scaling based in Barcelona.
This is a quantitative-oriented role, so effectiveness at data analysis and critical thinking is a must.
* This is a hybrid position that has the minimum expectation to work out of our Barcelona Office in the Poblenou neighborhood 2 days per week on Mondays and Thursdays. For this reason, candidates must be based in Barcelona or willing to relocate.
Your Responsibilities:
- Make business recommendations that inform our sitter strategy including identifying, sizing and driving key opportunities to improve pet sitters acquisition, gating, utilization, and satisfaction for all international countries partnering with our supply data science team and sitters experience product team
- Partner with multiple teams across product, data science, and lifecycle to drive improvements in sitters retention for int’l countries
- Support forecasting of revenue inputs including repeat bookings, average basket value, cancellation rates by analyzing input metrics and partnering with the financial planning and analytics team
- Partner with the localization team to deliver improvements across product and marketing in how we localize languages
- Drive investment alignment across cross-functional partners and ensure teams are executing to achieve target outcomes as part of annual strategic planning and quarterly goal setting
- Proactively communicate performance updates on progress toward different goals to key stakeholders
- Other responsibilities may arise depending on the evolving needs of the growing Rover international business
Your Minimum Qualifications:
- High fluency in English (C2) is a must. This is the official Rover language and it’s used every day with every internal stakeholder.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering or similar degrees
- Minimum of 5 years working experience driving cross-functional program outcomes
- Highly analytically independent - able to use data to solve complex problems in Excel/Google Sheets
- Strong project management skills with the ability to define and execute against clear timelines while driving forward stakeholders
- Experience evaluating opportunities based on business impact and cost, while effectively prioritizing them based on opportunity size and turning them into clear roadmaps
- Clear and structure communication style both verbal and written especially in writing business cases
- Strong attention to detail and ability to smoothly transition from working on specific details to high-level strategy
- Demonstrated ability to effectively partner cross-functionally coupled with the ability to influence d diverse teams to drive towards critical decisions and deliver outcomes
Preferred Qualification:
- Experience working with software-related product and analytics teams
- Experience in online marketplaces
- Experience in one or more of the following countries: Germany, France, UK, Spain, Italy
