Senior IT Tech - Exec Support

This is a pivotal onsite role in San Mateo, CA, blending comprehensive IT support for our entire organization ("Builders") with specialized, high-touch assistance for our senior leadership team. You'll be a trusted technology partner, ensuring seamless and secure operations for everyone, while proactively minimizing disruptions and enhancing efficiency for executives. Your work will directly impact productivity and company success across all levels.
This role is an hourly position and requires onsite support 5 days a week.
You will:
- Serve as a core member of the IT team, providing daily technical support to all Builders for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Offer top-tier, confidential technical assistance to senior leaders, proactively resolving complex IT issues and optimizing their technology setups.
- Educate both general staff and executives on security and technology best practices, fostering a culture of digital responsibility.
- Lead the adoption and integration of new technologies, providing expert guidance and support to all users.
- Manage VIP support channels for rapid, discreet service for executives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams like Facilities, Security, and HR on both general IT needs and specific executive IT requirements.
- Analyze and prevent recurring technical issues for all users, implementing long-term solutions and improvements through automation where possible.
- Track and report on IT support metrics for continuous improvement across the organization, including specialized metrics for executive support.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding procedures for all employees, ensuring smooth technology transitions.
- Manage and maintain IT inventory, including hardware and software licenses, and develop clear IT documentation.
- Participate in on-call schedules to provide timely support as needed.
You have:
- Extensive experience in high-touch, confidential IT support specifically for executives, understanding their unique needs and challenges.
- A strong track record of proactive problem-solving and anticipating technical needs for a diverse user base.
- Expertise in supporting diverse devices (macOS, Windows, iOS, Android, ChromeOS, Linux) in an enterprise environment.
- Proficiency in enterprise applications such as Okta, Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace, and Microsoft 365.
- Extensive experience with MDM solutions and a strong understanding of identity verification and identity providers
- A balanced approach to secure technology adoption for all users, with heightened awareness for executive-level security.
- Familiarity with scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python) and/or low-code automation to improve IT efficiency.

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual hourly rate could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Please note that not all benefits on this page are applicable to this hourly position.
Roles that are based in an office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
