About the team + role

We looking for a Staff Software Developer to join Robinhood & support the growth of the TradePMR team - Robinhood's acquisition group working on Enterprise B2B applications for financial advisors, working directly with end clients. The ideal team member is collaborative & strategically curious with experience operating cross functionally across an organization.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to lead a group of engineers in a full stack capacity while particularly focusing on Backend initiatives - leaning into designing, developing, and delivering the newest software applications.

What you’ll do day-to-day:

As the Tech Lead for TradePMR Engineering, you will act as a technical leader, mentor, problem solver and coder to all engineering/product groups.

  • Work with Engineering Manager, Product Manager and Operational teams across the company 
  • Mentor junior developers on the team and lead projects of large complexity
  • Be hands on with designing and writing code(C#, .NET). Own the design and implementation for a scalable, unified case management system that simplifies and accelerates issue resolution for all operational teams at Robinhood.
  • Identify opportunities to improve system performance, team processes, and reduce risks
  • Leverage Large Language Models (LLMs) to assist operational teams in triaging cases, improving accuracy, and reducing turnaround time.
  • Identify and automate high-impact manual workflows within operational teams, minimizing errors and freeing up resources for more strategic tasks.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure flawless product launches across Robinhood’s lines of business, including Brokerage, Crypto, Gold, Futures etc.

About you:

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience
  • 3+ years technically leading large engineering organizations with multiple teams
  • Experience in designing, developing, delivering, and leading enterprise web and desktop applications using Microsoft Technologies at scale
  • Knowledge and experience in the design and development of relational databases
  • Knowledge in implementations of microservices and service-oriented architecture
  • Exposure with the architecture and development of business solutions and acting as a strategic contributor to cloud solutions
  • Strong technical judgment and expertise with a focus on reliability, scalability, and correctness
  • Outstanding communication, leadership, and influence skills
  • Strong partnership and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Ability to quickly learn complicated business domains in a highly regulated space
  • Experience with teams that work in a highly-collaborative fashion and focus on optimizing for customer value
  • Technology Stack: .Net Core, Asp.Net, WebApi, MVC, WPF, MVVM, C#, ReactJS, NodeJS, Entity Framework, Dapper, AWS, Git, Jira, Jenkin
  • Databases: MS SQL Server, NoSQ

$179,000$210,000 CAD
