The Securities Processing team owns critical operations for the clearing broker dealer, Robinhood Securities (RHS), including DTC clearing & settlements, segregation, reconciliation and firm balancing. The team is lean but has a ton of responsibilities in key areas! We are automation-focused and looking for people to improve our current processes and have the ability to build new ones as new projects and businesses are spun up.

What you’ll do
You will own daily tasks in the Equity DTC settlements functional area. Your responsibilities will include the completion of the DTC settlements checklist which includes the following functions: fail management, 15c3-3 Possession & Control, seg deficit management, Obligation Warehouse processing and firm balancing. The associate will have the opportunity to work with engineers and PMs directly to complete product improvements or to increase operational efficiencies. Likewise, they will work closely with the rest of the clearing group including the Stock Loan, ACATs, Corporate Actions and the FinOp groups.
- Fail control functions - settle equity trades, buy-in aged fails, daily settlement reconciliations.
- Reconciliation - the team is responsible for ensuring that multiple reconciliations (CNS, Non-CNS, etc.) are completed daily and that the firm is in balance.
- Deficit management - cure deficits, complete seg reporting
- Security master - Assist Corporate Actions as needed on balancing firm accounts and processing physical securities related to corporate events
- Build relationships with street counterparties, DTC, and other 3rd party vendors to quickly settle failing trades and cure deficits
- Perform custody functions such as free receive/deliver processing
- Assist with transfer agents and depot management
- Manage day-to-day entries, adjustments, corrections directly in the brokerage platform
- Implement process improvements within the department
- Participate in road map planning and initiatives
- Articulate issues or new initiatives to the product and engineering team
What you bring
- Experience working at a startup or fast paced brokerage where responses are measured in minutes, not weeks.
- Advanced knowledge with DTC, NSCC, Obligation Warehouse, SMART Track, RAD and the other DTCC suite applications
- Settlement, buy-in, fail control, and/or seg experience
- Back-office role at a comparable brokerage or financial industry
- Strong self-starter with ability to work independently
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Ability to effectively prioritize and adapt to changing environment
- Ability to support extended hours (early morning/late evenings)

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. This role is also eligible to participate in a Robinhood bonus plan and Robinhood’s equity plan. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.
