As the Lead Payroll Analyst, you will help with all aspects of payroll for over 2,400+ employees. You will have the chance to serve as a key contributor on a strong team and to grow your understanding of both operational and technical payroll processes. The successful candidate will be someone who is looking to contribute directly to the success and growth of our department and company. This position will report to the Senior Manager of Global Payroll and work closely with our People team as well as the Accounting team.
It is preferred that this role is located in one of the office locations listed on this job description which will align with our in-office working environment. This position is only eligible for remote work in limited geographies within the US where we do not have physical office locations. What you’ll do
- Lead the Payroll Team in processing payroll for all salaried and hourly employees (US domestic and international)
- Create and refine all payroll procedure, time tracking and year end process documentation.
- Critically review and analyze current payroll and tax procedures in order to recommend and implement changes leading to best-practice operations
- Work collaboratively with the company’s stock administration team on processing exercises with payroll impact
- Assist with the preparation and reconciliation of payroll accounts as part of the month-end and quarter end close process
- Lead special projects, as needed, and stay abreast of industry trends
- Partner with the equity team to execute RSU settlement in a timely and compliant manner
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing supporting records and documentations
- Research, resolve and respond to payroll inquiries from employees
- Assign and monitor tickets submitted to the Payroll team for all US and International employees
- Assist with special projects with Corp Eng, Compensation, Employment, Corp Tax and other partners as needed
- Maintain a useful working knowledge of company policies, procedures, government regulations and business ethics
- Work side by side with everyone in the team to ensure smooth year end processes.
- Maintain payroll calendar for US and international payroll
- Manage vendor relationship (ADP, Deloitte and Nium)
- Run projects and process ad-hoc tasks with minimal supervision
What you bring
- At least 7-10 years of experience with full cycle payroll responsibilities in a multi-state, mobile and international capacity
- Experience working with a public company
- Experience with Workday Payroll/HRIS, Payroll Advantage (Deloitte) and ADP Smart Compliance
- Experience processing salaried and hourly payrolls
- Have a strong knowledge of federal and state regulations as they pertain to payroll processing
- Ability to maintain the confidential nature of the information by protecting the privacy of our employees and their records

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. This role is also eligible to participate in a Robinhood bonus plan and Robinhood’s equity plan. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.
