Robinhood is looking for an AV (Audio-Visual) engineer based in Menlo Park, California who is a highly skilled professional responsible for installing and maintaining advanced audio-visual systems for a wide range of applications. The ideal candidate will also support video events and large meetings which includes planning and producing video content in live sessions.

What you’ll do

  • Implementing and managing complex audio-visual systems, including video conferencing systems, conference room technology, digital signage, sound systems, and other AV equipment which includes the Google Meet platform
  • Working with end-users to assess their AV needs and provide recommendations for system design and configuration
  • Collaborating with other technical teams, such as IT and facilities management, to integrate AV systems with other infrastructure and systems
  • Managing and overseeing AV installation projects from start to finish, including equipment selection, installation, testing, and commissioning
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues with AV systems, including diagnosing hardware and software problems, and providing technical support to end-users
  • Providing training and support to end-users on how to use and maintain AV systems
  • Keeping up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in AV technology, and making recommendations for system upgrades or improvements
  • Working with the live video production team, including videographers, editors, and graphic designers
  • Managing within the production timeline and ensuring all aspects of video production are completed on time and within budget
  • Overseeing the video shoot, including camera setup, lighting, sound recording, and directing talent.
  • Managing post-production processes
  • Coordinating with other event producers and technical teams to ensure video content is integrated smoothly with the overall event production.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in video production technology, and making recommendations for equipment upgrades or improvements.

What you bring

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in installing, and maintaining AV systems.
  • Strong technical skills in AV equipment and software, including codecs, video and audio distribution systems, and control systems
  • Familiarity with AV industry standards and protocols
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently
  • Strong technical skills in video production, including camera operation, lighting, sound recording, editing, and navigating the dynamic nature of live events
  • Strong creative skills, with the ability to develop and execute compelling video content that meets the client's objectives
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver them on time and within budget

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. This role is also eligible to participate in a Robinhood bonus plan.
