Sr. Manager, Esports Production Manager

The Esports team is focused on delivering amazing fan experiences through our global events and regional competitions. Our professional and semi-professional competitive tiers in League of Legends, VALORANT and other Esports involve thousands of players and hundreds of organizations competing every week.

As Senior Manager, Esports Production Management, you'll be the primary craft lead driving and managing the successful execution of technical physical production and broadcast physical production of our global events. You’ll be the main point of contact for the Director of Production for live global events, directly managing the event leadership (ELT) production lead function per event (or performing the function of the ELT production lead) that executes physical production and the related aspects/assets of the event (HOD management, lighting, set/scenic, front of house audio, LED/projection, rigging, opening ceremony execution, AV production needs, regional partners, various player management needs, press needs, broadcast needs, etc).

  • In-depth knowledge of Field, Event, and Studio Production  
  • Effective at managing vendors and contractors, executing multiple departments and 100+ people on-site
  • Effective at managing full production departments through pre-production, planning, event, and wrap
  • Owns the communication directed from Riot Leadership, overseeing the execution of technical production and costs associated with.
  • Develops and implements the technical production and broadcast production process from pre-production and load-in through wrap of multiple events. Makes events efficient and standardized to be repeatable and scaled.
  • Can facilitate managers and production companies in aiding the creation of a television show from start to finish

  • 25-40% travel to support global events

Required Qualifications: 

  • 10+ Years as a Technical Director or Line Producer
  • Experience managing and delivering on a budget of over 2 million dollars
  • Managerial Skills of managing simultaneous teams that oversee departments of dozens of people each
  • Leadership skills, knowing when to make the right decisions and present non-negotiable conditions, having the ability to speak up when noticing something is wrong or out of place
  • Working and collaborating in a complex matrixed organization
  • Strong work ethic, self-starter, self management 
  • Effective communicator between high-level executives on down
  • Time management skills for delivering concurrent global events
  • Budget and money management of multiple departments

Desired Qualifications:

  • Autocad
  • Budget Management Software (MovieMagic, Showbiz, Excel)
  • Team Management Software (Airtable, Monday)
  • Working in Sports industry, having empathy towards sports fandom
  • Experience working as a line producer and/or technical director
  • Bachelor's degree in applicable field
