As Senior Game Product Manager, Monetization on the VALORANT Mobile team, you'll help shape how players experience and engage with the game’s reward and monetization systems. You'll be the driving force behind patch-level reward design, pacing, and strategy—ensuring that both free and paid offerings feel intentional, compelling, and deeply player-focused.
This role is about bringing cohesion to the player's journey. You'll focus on making our progression and reward systems feel seamless and meaningful, helping players engage with the game in a way that feels rewarding while staying true to VALORANT’s high-stakes, competitive core. Working across disciplines and geos, you’ll bring together publishing beats, reward systems, and content delivery into a unified, elevated player experience.
As a Rioter in China, you'll join a team of culturally diverse professionals who share a passion for games and a commitment to putting players first. To support Riot’s collaborative culture in our China offices, we operate without traditional hierarchical titles. Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead the patch-level reward and monetization strategy, including features, content scope, and overall reward experience across both free and premium offerings.
- Collaborate with development and publishing teams to ensure reward plans reflect key market beats and seasonal events.
- Partner closely with art and production teams to uphold a high bar of content quality—ensuring that cosmetics and accessories feel industry-leading and deeply resonant with our players.
- Build alignment across regional publishing stakeholders to ensure rewards meet the expectations of local players and markets.
- Drive a metrics-informed approach to live operations, analyzing player behavior and revenue data to refine strategies and maximize player engagement and satisfaction.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in game product management or game development, with a strong focus on live service monetization and player engagement systems.
- Proven success in building and launching monetization features or systems that have positively impacted player experience and business outcomes.
- Experience working closely with publishing teams, developers, and content creators to deliver cross-functional projects.
- Deep understanding of cosmetics and personalization systems in live mobile or competitive games.
- Strong data literacy and experience in developing KPI frameworks to measure content performance and player satisfaction.
- Bilingual: fluent in Mandarin, proficient in English.
Desired Qualifications:
- Passionate about tactical shooters, competitive multiplayer experiences, and mobile gaming.
- Experience operating in high-ambiguity environments and delivering player-facing features in fast-paced live ops settings.
- A strong sense of visual and experiential quality—able to recognize what “great” looks like for player-facing content.
- Prior exposure to regional publishing dynamics across China or overseas markets.
