Recruiter (Contract, 6 months)
At Riot, we believe great Recruiters are part brand ambassador, matchmaker, and strategic partner. As a full-cycle Recruiter (Contract), you'll work closely with business leaders, hiring managers, and Recruiting Partners to attract top talent in engineering and game production - primarily for our Sydney office.
You’ll own the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing and engaging candidates to delivering a smooth and inclusive interview experience. You'll also have the opportunity to contribute to broader recruiting initiatives, including process improvements and discipline-level projects.
This is a 6 month contract position based in Sydney, Australia.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with hiring managers and Recruiting Partners to deeply understand team needs and build targeted hiring strategies
- Source top technical and production talent using a blend of direct outreach, networking, and creative channels
- Review and qualify incoming applicants and passive candidates for fit and interest
- Provide a best-in-class candidate experience through timely, transparent communication
- Manage candidate pipelines and keep stakeholders aligned throughout the process
- Help evolve our recruiting practices and support continuous improvement efforts
Required Qualifications:

- 3+ years of sourcing and recruiting experience in the tech or gaming industries
- Hands-on experience with Greenhouse (or comparable ATS)
- Skilled in sourcing tools including LinkedIn, Boolean search, and deep web strategies
- Proven success engaging passive candidates from top-tier companies
- Strong ability to track, report, and communicate recruiting metrics to business stakeholders
- Comfortable building cross-functional relationships and managing stakeholder expectations
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience recruiting within the games industry
- Familiarity with hiring for technical or production roles
